Hi All, I am Brian and I bought a Subaru. I thought I should say hi and introduce myself. I think you guys have a pretty cool website going here and it seems you have everything I am looking for. I'm looking for some parts, some tech info and advice as well as fellow enthusiasts. I did find and buy a 00 Impreza RS with a jdm swap ej20g sti motor. I'd be hard pressed to say its in great shape but i think its a really cool car and hopefully a fun project car. I want to clean it up a bit and drive it but for now it needs some work. I've already got my hands dirty with it over the weekend, the shifter bushings were essentially gone so I fabbed up a makeshift repair then ordered up some kartboy gear and a few other things. I have plenty more to do and will be starting soon so based on what I've seen here maybe I should host a garage meet I'll be working on it either way.

Thanks guys and yeah I'm sure ill head up to a few of your meets in time but for now its going be be under the knife for at least a week or two. Its will be hard not to drive but it needs work. I bought it with a tranny problem and it sounds like its getting worse. Before I shotgun it i'd like to find someone who knows and can say its done for and not something repairable. I have a source for a cheap 98+ jdm turbo trans though so based on my research it is a better call than the 2k + i'd spend on gear upgrades or an sti 6 speed. Ill just plan not to beat it as hard as the last owner. I've got a turbo rebuild kit coming for my smoking td05, need to throw in my kartboy shifter bushings and i'd like to quiet down the exhaust a hair its loud enough I worry about too much negative attention driving it. I want to weld in a resonator / straight through muffler, it is running a full 3" turboback atm and will be loud for a dd. It really scoots though at least I have a few more vehicles to drive until its done. Oh and I'm in savage btw
