If you have the time and patience I can walk you through it. If not I wouldn't charge much. I also posted a write up on rs25.com http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41155
really nice work, before this i had only seen people using the HID conversion bulbs. those things have horrid beam patterns in non HID housings. i will hava to read your walktough
so you're the guy on RS25 that posted this! i wanna see the car in person! fuji and yia also did this mod on their cars but they are still in the makings. fuji and I are trying to make a dual beam projector.
If you can do this with a reasonable price tag I might have to start saving my cash. Send me a pm of how much you would charge and maybe I could send my stuff up to your place over spring break or something
I intially wanted the BMW dual beam look, but it would've require way too much cutting. Plus I wouldn't be able to adjust my headlights using the factory adjusters. I didn't want the projector and bulbs to be sticking out the either beacuse this might cause water problems down the road.
I've been working at it for about a month a so during my winter break. SVX has HUGE projectors so my cutting work turned out to be more than yours. Yours look good! I wished you wrote this project up sooner so I didn't find out to do it the hard way!
STiwannabe, that is a wonderful modification that will have a lot of people doing it to their old skool Imprezas, too. I didnt' know you were so creative, man. I would never have tried that myself.
Well you know me, always looking for something new to do. Can't just sit around and play games all day anymore
My total cost for the HID parts are listed TSX Projectors $175shipped e46 Ballast/Bulbs/Shrouds $200shipped Screws/Wiring/Misc stuff $20 Dremel Tool $60 I wouldn't say HID would be the end all be all lighting, because you will still need your highs in some cases.
