I'm not a big metal fan myself so I don't have much to compare it to, but this stuff makes me want to apply vagisil and eat ice cream while watching Gilmore Girls. Metal should never make you feel that way. Ever.

nah. lamb of god never did anything for me. i'm not gonna start a fight with mnsubaru members over this but i think that there are plenty of other things that are actually .. erm .. DECENT to come out of Finland than Nightwish and HIM. Dynapar - you already know I don't care much for Nightwish. If you do, that's fine. Tarja just seems so full of herself and it's a turnoff. And HIM - well it speaks for itself. I really don't know where the heck that band came from or why all the little kiddies like them - and I've been saying this for YEARS. So I'm just going to continue to dislike them in silence while I listen to Thyrfing and Moonsorrow.
Tarja is out of the band as of their last show in 05. she was the reason they cancelled 2 US tours, and was supposedly committing tax fraud in finland. now they have a new singer from sweden. they style has changed, they are moving away from the operatic stuff and into a more rock-ish tone. any love for Symphony X? Yeah, they're good. I like blackmetal. Mostly stuff that's folkish in nature. I'm not too into the powermetal much.
I like straight up death metal and avant-garde mathrock metal most. Six Feet Under rules. Also, The Tony Danza Tapdance Experience is ftw.
Also, most black metal (the real kind, not this Children of Bodom bull****) is pretty cool but most of it all sounds the same.
