Also as requested by the neighbor... no seafoam please  The hoist day will be Saturday the 11th at my shop in Buffalo Starts at noon, and goes till whenever. Directions to the Shop If you still get lost you can call 612-483-0222
I don't have anything to do to my car, but I would like to come and learn and watch if that is okay. I might have to work at my pt job if I do I won't be out there till 6 or so. Hope to see everyone out there.
i am up for coming. that is my spring break, so i am free, sat would be the best for me, if that matters lol. i shuoldnt have anything to do on my car, but i wanna coem out and see other ppls
I [probably] can't come on saturday, I'll be at another ice race (private invite....sorry), and picking up an engine hoist. but I should be available on Sunday
I'll be there until sometime on Sunday (then I have to drive back to assland ). And I'll be there on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Provided I can get my pads by then could we possibly do a front brake job on an 04 STI? I would love to learn how to work on my brembos. Also the rotors will need to be done also if someone knows how to do that. Thanks! Pete
My midsession break is next week. So I'm going to drive home to IL on tuesday night (assuming my gf passes her license test) and then she's going to drive my jeep (I'm driving the suby) and we're heading up to MN where I can drop my car off at Mike's and we're going to rip it all apart and prepare it for the swap.
^^ yikes, thats a decent chunk of driving right after getting your liscence. especailly if its just the two of you in the 2 cars.
I need some new pads too... any chance you can get something ordered by then mike? I called and talked to your dad a bit tonight (about that other thing), but you were out running parts. PM me or give me a call to work out details.
It's not too bad, she get's her license, we drive down to chi-town (6 hours). Then the next day we leave for the twin cities (around 5 hours). She's following me the whole time and we're going to have radios. She's also been able to drive for the past few years with her permit. I think she's just afraid of failing her driving test (I said "she's" a lot).
That's got secretmobile written all over it  if/when I get there, I just want to put my car up on the hoist (assuming we can find something solid to lift it by), and make sure everything's tight.
Sweeeeeet....It looks like the delivery date might be the 18th for the pads(Russ' group buy) but I'll check into it and see if I can pick them up before then being his buddy's shop is right by my house. Thanks!
I'm in for oil change, brake bleed, tranny fluid change, possible brake pad replacement. the pads I have now squeal a lot, and i'll probably be burning through a set this summer.
Hum...should I change my pad too.......... Mike do you have the pads in stock?? front and rear? I might go and hang out.....
I have a few pads in stock, but if not, it is very easy for me to get them. PM me your car's details, then I'll see if I have them.
Are they the OEM one?? how much does it cost for front and rear? I hate to drive to BP subaru is so far from me.....
Hey Mike dumb question before I ask everybody for help.... Do your shop have a T27 torx bit? I need that to take off my mudd flap.
I'll swing out either way I think. I couldn't wait any longer on my front pads so we won't have to do those. I may have my new rear brake pads in but I will have to see if they are needed yet.
It's not looking good as far as I'm concerned. It's starting to sound like my other plans are going to soak up the entire day.....but if we get done early, I plan on swinging by.
