Not positive, but if I remember correctly, that's a jacked open throttle plate. Usually only open a little bit but because the iac can't control the throttle, they use the fueling to do it. It run super lean (like 20:1) and barely stays a live. Apparently, it can stop a car from stalling while in gear with the tires locked up. ...I think...

You should fix that. I think a little vitamin A(nti-lag) would solve that issue. Kelly: that is interesting to know about the throttle plate. I had heard some stuff floating around about how some rally cars are tuned to run at a high IDC at idle and then the timing is pulled to lower the RPMs. There are alot of cool tricks out there, I wish I knew more of them.
Graham told me that one. I wondered why it was happening on their cars and I guess that's the reason. It probably wouldn't be the best for daily driving though
