Has anybody put in an aftermarket horn in their car? The stock single tone horn is so wimpy I'm embarassed to honk at people. Still, I usually use it for atleast 30 to 240 seconds every day so I definitely need an upgrade. My main concern is if the stock wiring will handle the extra wattage? I'm probably going to go for some FIAAM dual tone horns.
I have the some Japanese aftermarket ones in my RS, they came on my old skyline and I took them back with me, not absurdly loud, but the tone is a lot better than stock. I have an extra laying around I think as I only used one.
I have duel Air Horn's in my DC2, I was tempted to install the sameones on my Scooby. As far are your concern just make sure it will accept the same puliarity, and the kits I use include a relay for the added power needed to drive the horns.
I removed mine for some reason. Fuse is being used for something else at the moment. I never use a horn anyway, seems ghey even with a loud one. All it usually does is piss folks off. If your car is loud enough just rev at them, at least that sometimes scares them into submission )

I have a snail Fiamm high tone on my car. It sounds funny. The snail low tone sounds like a trumpet, so I replaced it with the high tone horn. When the horn fails, use something visual... like your middle finger.
fuji did a mod on his with lexus horns on...dual horn...sounds like a camry.....even though its a lexus....louder....
Actually I don't need the horn at all I can hear from the other car along they flick me telling me an IDIOT DRIVER!!! Subie Pride babi
