How big is a STi stock turbo?

    some specs i found.
    Aspect ratio 18
    Turbine Impeller Dia ID 48mm/ OD 53mm, 11 blades
    Compressor Impeller Dia 46.48mm/60mm, 6+6 blades
    Wastegate port 25mm dia
    WG Port open 77.7 kPa @ 2mm, 89.9 @ 4mm

    twin scroll design. size is similar to the vf34.

    i'd say a "small" 16g would be about the same as the vf39 power wise

    My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
    I'd be rechecking that "fact" Shorty. They are NOT a twin scroll. The VF36 and VF37 are twin scroll turbos, not the 39. The only Subarus that came with twin scrolls are the JDM V8 Spec C.

    USDM sti is a vf39. the 16g will flow alot more air than the vf39 will. I will have to SEARCH for the turbo flow chart that I have posted before. IIRC the vf39 is around 400cfm and the snall 16g is around 500cfm.
