Only asking because I see some references to MTBing in avatars and usernames.

I'm also Soupboy on www.morcmtb.org - the local trail advocacy site.

I have done it, I have a Giant NRS2. I just have not done it in a long time. I would love to have more time to ride.

Well, I'm a bigger MTB freak than WRX freak. Happy to lead a group ride of local Suby owners and MTBers. The trail system around the Cities are fantastic and have been improved a lot in the last few years.

    Hey Sean

Been awhile since we've ridden together, I post as Nuget at morc and mtbr. Shame you had to let your wagon go for it was deffinately one of my inspirations for picking my suby up. Recently picked up new ride as well, can't say enough good things about the moto. I'd be down for suby mtn rides. Theo has been great this year, made it down to leb a few times as well. Here's my current rides. What are you currently riding Sean? Still have the Monkey?

*disclaimer* car usually has roof rack mounted

I have an old hardtail Trek 8000 I ride around at Salem Hills and commute to work on sometimes. One of my friends just moved to a new house right by Lebanon Hills, so I'll probably be down there this fall.

OMG....I love Duluth too! I grew-up there and mtn biked almost everyday and actually enjoy the downhill bike I had at the time

My favorite was to start biking at Chester Bowl on top of the ski hill, bomb the down hill ski jumps, go across to the steep dowhills across the parking lot, then boogie across the street to the section of the Chester Creek trail heading down to 9th street then 4th street. Then take 4th street ( i can't remember exactly) but then hit a series of urban assault type jumps (staircases and loading docks) all the way down to canal park.:yumyum:

btw- there's staircase jump next between 3rd street and 2nd (about a block east of St Mary's hospital) that you can jump anywhere between 5-25 feet!

all together about 1 hour of pure adrenaline.

OMG...I have to get up there!

I worked in a shop here in Rochester for a long time.

If you get a weekend ride going someplace let me know....I might be up.

I usually ride my somewhat old school Fisher Procaliber but I also have a Klein Carbon-framed Mantra Race and a Bianchi Boss Single speed.

I don't mountain bike, but I'm heading to Whistler, BC on September 1st to give it a shot - down a friggin mountain. A couple of my good buddies from Washington work in some high-end bike shops and are taking me to try to kill myself. I just might wrap my old fat a$$ in industrial grade bubble wrap before I go.

Good luck with that...tell your buddies to take you to the A-Line. Nothing like getting your feet wet on a trail with 30 foot drops!!:eek3:

Yup, and dibs on going through your stuff first after you buy the farm ;)

Here's my ride, 1995 GT Zaskar. I love it enough that I can't bear to get anything else.

I have clipless pedals/shoes in the closet, it's just easier to run the toe clips/platforms right now for the kind of riding I do.

Just got back on Monday from a 10 day trip to Whistler. Good stuff man. Have fun.

As far as my ride goes... I went out to whistler on a built up Santa Cruz Bullit frame, came back from whistler on a built up Transition Bottle Rocket.

Also, I don't post up on Morc too often, but my name on there is Thor (so original I know).

I just spent the weekend in Whistler, BC, and WHOAH!!! This was my 1st time on a mountian bile, and I would describe it as a cross between snowboarding and stage rally.

A buddy of mine that works at a bike shop let me use his buddie's Specalized SX trail, and what a machine.

We rode on Saturday (rain) and Sunday (beautiful). I'll write more and post some pix when we get back, but what a mountian!!!

I will have pictures up in a couple days of us up in Whistler, but they're posed at the bottom of the hill - the girls were at the spa while we were on the hills.

Here is a quick vid I found on YouTube of the GLC drop at the bottom of the hill. Not me, but it's the same drop.

He's known for kicking some serious arse in XC.

Just got back from Gnomefest Quattro at 9-Mile in Wausau. Good times. LOTS of rally inspired driving on dirt roads and trailheads! Trails were in great shape and the beer was tasty and aplenty.
