to adjust the valve clearance on a 99rs (SOHC phase II engine). Im having this done on thursday, and i asked how long it would take and they gave me an estimate that i thought was a little long. Just thought id ask here since i know we have some suby techs on here.

If you work at minnetonka subaru...ill see you on thursday!

2.5L engine is 3.0 hrs to adjust valve clearance (thats average time)
    1.8L / 2.2L = 1.6 hrs

that is by the MOTOR labor Guide which most reputable shops will go by... but this is also a guideline as it doesnt take into fact that in Minnesota things take longer to take apart (rust) then say in NC or Texas which most the times are averaged for the Southern half of Nth America...

no probs.. I looked up online on ALLDATA too and it gives you step by step instructions.. yep its worth paying someone to do it if they are trained... not you basic plug change or tire rotation on that one.. ha ha ha:eek4:
