How many tickets average do you get every year? Traffic Tickets Only. 17 Months with my car I've gotton 1. Traffic Violation
tux damnit the proper spelling of this non-word is "gotten" and it is not even a word. you can use "got" (it sounds dumb, but not THAT dumb) or "received" or rewrite it so that you don't use words that don't exist. heck, I'll even let you spell "receive" wrong. now. I've had one ticket for driving straight in a turn only lane to cross a street. It LOOKS like you can go straight in this place... there is no earthly reason why you can't. If you don't believe me - it's the 11th/1st ave/hennepin area I'm talking about, going toward glenwood ave out of the city on 11th. If you don't turn left to go on 394 you go straight. It didn't even matter, wasn't worth fighting. :\ and this is the only ticket I have been issued - EVER.
Then you are not driving it right:biggrin: I have not had one in my subaru yet but i have had 3 in three years
1 - What I was cited for was failure to signal a sweeping 3-lane change from far left to far right on 394 Westbound. What I was not cited for was doing it at 9Xmph to get around left lane bandits. Ocifer was very nice guy - did the old ride my bumper for 3 miles before pulling me over. Unfortunately, the failure to signal is on par with speeding in terms of points so I through myself at the mercy of the court. Paid the fine and 1 year probation. Record remains spotless.
1. Speeding, 85 in 55mph 2. Careless driving, was switching lane at high speed (this was with the first one) 3. Speeding, 9x in 70mph (in Wisconsin, the day after the first two) 4. Speeding, 68 in 55mph 5. Speeding, 50 in 30mph 6. Speeding, 40 in 30mph 7. Speeding, 70 in 55mph (but was cleared)
When I lived in Duluth I got ZERO tickets, and I drove faster than I drive in Minneapolis. Duluth PD is pretty lax imo. Since I moved down here, I've gotten one ticket in my car for expired tabs, and I got pulled over in Eden Prairie for 40 in a 30 in my work truck. Thanks to my "good driving record" (AKA the Duluth PD) I got off with a warning.
pulled over 4 times in 5 years since getting my license. out of that has come 2 tickets - 1 for 10mph over limit and 1 for uneccessary acceleration
5-Speeding 1-Illegal lane usage and one for equiptment violations tint tails etc...but I can come up with seven others that I was let go with a only a warning. I'm also very happy the last ticket was 4 1/2 years ago and the only issue with the subaru was for being a bit to loud:biggrin: and was only given a warning.
zero for me in 6 years, havnt been pulled over since i was 17 when my headlight went out on my old truck.
Zero in 06. Got one in 07 for tint. None so far this year. One will bounce off the record in March and my record will be clear for once in my life! WooHoo
a big fat 0 for me! on the other hand my friend from EP has like well over 15 tickets. he is only 21. he used to dive a yellow oz lancer.
zero tickets, pulled over twice though. Once for suspicious activity... Cop tells me a similar car was racing around in parking lots at the church.. I play stupid (i wasn't racing, i was sliding).. He let me go... Other time was after a TSD and the car was caked in silt/mud, was pulled over because he couldn't read my plate/tabs..
I think the last time I looked at my record it wa 32 tickets , but i have been good the last few years.
I have 2. One in '06 for 88 in a 70. He only clocked me going that fast, I was already decelerating. Second one was in '07 for 65 in a 50. I deserved both. So I cannot complain too much. In both instances the officers were fairly nice. well at least not out to get me. I have been pulled over numerous other times, mainly for speeding but have been for other BS like a dirty license plate. For the most part the officers are nice. I always try to be helpful and honest. I had one reall jackass though. He thought I was skreet racing, which I wasnt. He as really pissed off, yelling at me, threatning me, ect... he went to run my ID and got a robbery call, cae back and said it was my lucky day. I dont drive in that area any more.
4 I think in the past year, 3 lame speeding tickets and an exhaust ticket. About 8-9 tickets in my 10 year career. That does include not driving a car while I was going through my first two years of college. Average about a ticket per year, ha ha. At least that keeps my car on the road and me out of court.... usually. You just need to ride the law enforcement line.
Hmmm... Well for moving violations, I think I have 8 in Minnesota, and 1 in Wisconsin in over 10 years of driving! Probably can at least double the total in verbal and writen warnings, where I didn't get anything... (1) - "Rolling" through a stop sign (leaving Mound Westonka High School parking lot after school) - 1st ever ticket (1) - Driving in the "Sane Lane" (carpool lane coming back from U of M) (1) - Illegal U-Turn in Maplewood (5) - Speeding tickets in various places around the metro with nothing over 19 MPH over the limit (1) - Speeding through Wisconsin on 94 ($260 ticket which the cheese makes ya pay for on the spot) FTL! (out of state, not on record or insurance) I think I have also givin my share of $$$ for non-moving violations... (2) - Parking tickets (1) - Seat-belt ticket (was "exhibition driving" but only gave me seat belt ticket) (1) - Invalid Address Change on driver's license (was stopped for speeding) Not proud of my mistakes, but sadly enough probably all deserved, and all legit. We'll just say that I have given a lot back to our wonderful state!! -Marc
actually, tux, you've been impressing me lately. You're getting better. I'm glad you realized that I was just being an ass and not really trying to make you feel bad.
1. careless driving in mound (getting pwned by tim in the non-turbo legacy and I am in my passat wagon) 2. careless driving again in mound (donuts in the mound high school parking lot) 3. Speeding 75 in a 45 in excelsior
^ I remember that lol I got a careless too! So I have: Exhibition Driving: Did a burnout in my dads (which is now 3riks) truck (the silver bullet) Careless Driving: Stoplight Racing in mound- Bad Idea and thats it for me, no sp33ding.
3 speeding tickets, none in the last four years. Dozens of warnings when I had a clean record, which is priceless if you have one.
2 tickets for me. One was a tinted license plate cover. Appealed that one. And just got a window tint ticket. Will rip off the tint on Thursday and appeal that ticket on Mondayz
In reverse order: 1. 50 in a 40 last summer. $17 2. 9x in a 70 last spring (Me and a hot blond in an SC400 were playing a relaxed game of cat and mouse on I-70 on a lonely Sunday morning. She got pegged at 103) 3. 123 in a 55 4. reckless driving 5. Obscured License Plate - Last 3 were all in one incident in 2005. Lawyers are expensive 6. 49 in a 35 in 2005 7. 43 in a 35 in 2005 8. There was another one in 2005. At the end of 2005 I sold my WRX 9. 82 in a 75 in 2003. 7 over. Officer Coover I still remember your name and I still think you're a cockmunch. 10. 48 in a 35 in 2002. 11. 47 in a 35 in 2001. 12. My first was in 1997 while driving the backroads between Mankato and New Ulm. Something like 7x in a 55. I've had many close calls that I was able to talk myself out of or was shown mercy.
0 No tickets ever. Been pulled over a few times, never a ticket. Jedi mind control FTW! I was wondering, EtchyLives, where is there a 75mph speed limit?
1 for running a stop sign (i swear i actually did stop) 1 for running a stop light (cops in Hopkins suck balls) 1 for following too close without due caution (avoiding acc. get in another ) 1 for no seat belt but, i have been pulled over well over 75 times, more like 100. infact, i got pulled over tonight for doing over 75 in a 65 but the cop was super cool and gave me a quick verbal and let me go.
