the fad right now is to have a nice shiny closed deck aluminum coffe table. in a few years the fad will be to have high hp 2.2l subarus. i am waiting until then, so i can still be in style

haha, yea. I just realized how many people were talking about the build they're doing, or are going to do. but I couldn't think of anyone with one done successfully. kelly's runs (or at least ran....), but not well. fuji's is installed, but not running.

I think I'm going to start accumulating mildly abused, open deck or N/A blocks...

both of your blocks will be more than acceptable....as long as you don't punch a hole in it before you pull it.

the less applicable the 'mildly' part becomes.....the more applicable the acquire (as apposed to purchase) part becomes.

A case of beer takes my old 2.2, and damn near any other leftovers from my build. Another case for the tranny.

The motor is missing pretty much all of the sensors and a fuel rail. I've got an extra engine harness, but I'm keeping all of the harness that is in the car. The ECU is useless to me. I've got a NA 5 speed, in pieces, with the shift rod sawed in half. It's all there though. Other crap like factory exhaust, NA crossmember, 5 speed legacy driveshaft, and so on.
