How much a NEW Clutch + Labor?

    STi's stock clutch + Labor....I heard around 1K? I can afford the clutch, i can't afford the labor!

    Bikerboy did it for me for $700 i beleive, so you can get good quality work for less then 1k, he did an excellent job for me. But you gotta buy the clutch ontop of that, like another 250 with an mnsubaru discount.

    Its 400.00 to do a clutch, You had the aditional issue inside the trans.

    you need to learn how to drive if your 06 clutch is already out, how many miles?

    its not OUT! not slipping. i just wanna know how much is for one becuz it is getting weak and yes i had to learn to drive stick with a brand new 06 sti...its got 14,000miles

    yeah what bikerboy said is about right i have heard several estimates between 400-500.

    oh becuz and Subaru they told me 300 4 the clutch and 600-700 for labor work

    the dealership charges alot to do a clutch, but if you talk to the right people (ie. Matt,Mike,Fuji) you can get some sweet deals. nothing bad on the dealership, but there are cheaper places.

    i think last time i spoke with brian(driftin240), he was doing them for around 300 or so. he can correct me if i'm wrong.

    My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
    And I'm sure the drag racing had nothing to do with it...

    i may need a new clutch soon as well - getting some chatter engaging from a stop or low speed occassionally. just under 50k - no slipping or icky smells though

    I think fuji is charging somewhere around $200, but you have to help a little bit, and he has you buy everything first.

    He does only the install, and really knows his stuff. He did my RS tranni in under 8 hours virtually by himself without a lift.

    I'm doing mine for $300. did an STi 2 weeks ago....another on the list... and then other stuff....doing a wheel bearing soon on another car here....then a tranny swap/conversion.....(eekk!) putting engine back in and pulling engines....*sigh*...ahha

    I did my clutch last Thursday in 7 hours....by myself.... the 5spd is lighter than the 6spd... lolz

    thats caue the dealership has a LOT of overhead to pay for.. some of the other guys mentioned, do great work but dont have the fixed costs that go along with OWNING a business...

    Parts can be bought at local auto parts stores or the dealer.

    Labor
    $100 for front (one side)
    $150 for rear (one side)

    hehe yeah i was there for part of that. fuji knows so many little secrets its nuts! let me tell you that just using one of fuji secrets saved me atleast an hour of frustration when i replaced my tranny.

    Fuji did my car two weeks ago. Everything is working fine. Excellent Job! I would recommand Fuji for a clutch work.

    Thats true, but yeah, Bikerboy FTW, good quality stuff, besides, where else can you get your clutch replaced AND see a Hayabusa with spray!!
