I have a 2007 wrx sti limited im looking to sell. It has 40,xxx miles on it i have a aps 3" tbe, gm boost control solenoid tuned by Bullwinkle. Comes with a set of winter tires with about 7k on them, and summer tires i bought this summer. hawk hps street pads in the front. comes with hawk hps street for the rear. not installed. car is in good shape has 2 scratches on it, and the front lip has a few scratches on it. 2 rims have a little curb rash. kbb tells me excellent condition i can get 29k. i was going to take it up to white bear subaru today to see how much they would give me for it. so just wondering how much do you think i would get for it.

    thanks in advanced

ps i know i have horrible grammar lol...

First off: Your car is not in excellent condition. No car that is driven further than its first oil change is in excellent condition according to market value.
Second: Mods rarely add value to a vehicle unless selling to an enthusiast party. The dealership won't give you money for them if you're trading in, and even in a private-party sale they won't add as much as you think they might.

According to KBB and NADA, you might expect about $23,000 on trade in, but ultimately that can change depending on what the dealership considers the car is worth.
If you try a private party sale, you might expect about $24,000 - $25,000 according to KBB. Either way, I wish you the best of luck in selling it. It's not exactly a bull market for autos right now.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to get the most out of your car, but sadly the "excellent condition" button on KBB never seem to apply in the real world. From what I can tell, Excellent Condition means no flaws in the car whatsoever. It has to look and smell like it just came off the assembly line or else the best you can get is "good".

You're probably in the ballpark for private sale. A while back Burnsville had an immaculate 07 w/TBE and 35k'ish miles for $25k. That wasn't a limited though.

Well I'm in commercial carpentry, and I had back surgery a couple months ago. So with the economy and me being almost unemployed and medical bills stacking up I'm looking to sell... As much as I don't want to

Edit: I use another vehicle for work ;)

You should start a proper for sale thread with details like pics, current mileage and whatnot. May help find a buyer.

I thought I would chime in since I have pretty much the same car. I'm getting $20,335 as a trade in for my gray 07 STI limited. 63K miles, great condition. 6 weeks for build time of new ride the goodbye STI, sad indeed. :emo:
