Ok, so a buddy of mine and I have a great idea for a website and have an investor who is ready to put down some cash for a site. We're wondering what the costs would be. We both are really tech savvy (he does computer repair on the side as I used to as well) and have both had basic HTML and Java classes, mine at St. Thomas. But the site we have in mind is going to need to be quite complex and large and database of a very large quantity of customers. Basically the site will need the capability to have registered users (2 account types, a free and a charged account type) that can log in and be a searchable database by other users (kind of like carfax with quick response to the searched item). Plus it needs to be very secure obviously. I know its vague but would like to keep it that way until there's an agreement with a designer. We already have a lawyer involved and the money is there. The idea is unique and there aren't any sites that are even remotely close to the concept so we're going to keep it hush hush for now. Give me some insight, good design sites, and ballpark prices. Thanks, Bryan
you talking stonkarino??? If that's the case I should PM him on XBL. We were thinking about $100/hour. Can you text or call him for me?
sure, i know he is in cali right now doing some of his own stuff and just relaxing out there. And he is doing a side project for me, but i will talk with him tomorrow
This is about ballpark. Expect something with a database back-end to be significantly more expensive.
i have connections to india website designers. i can probably get you hooked up. generally their prices are .25 on the dollar.
The corporation I work for also outsources a great deal of web work to india.....we pay very little to convert a print document to a web friendly document....so little that it isn't worth paying ME to do it.
