How to: Brake upgrade. UPDATE

    I will be installing these this weekend: SS lines and new rotors along with speed bleeders and new fluid. I'll take some pics and do a write up so keep posted for updates!

    PS: If anyone wants to learn/help let me know.


    First, make sure you have all of the tools and materials.

    jack
    jack stands
    socket wrench + sockets
    breaker bar and torque wrench
    wrenches of assorted sizes
    pliers
    shop towels
    good brake fluid
    funnel
    another person to help
    liquid wrench or grease lightning or the equiv.
    elbow grease
    shop towels
    more shop towels
    bandaids
    big c-clamp
    new brake pads and/or rotors and/or brake lines
    brake cleaner
    your friend's NSX

    first jack the car up appropriately and place the jack stands and put the parking brake on if you are doing the front brakes first.

    I don't right now.... but I think I can grab a set from the folks. These are some nasty green looking things, but hey they work. I have to rip my back doors open I hear the drivers side rear speaker wiring is loose.

    Looks like another successful MNSubaru install! Good job with the pics. Please don't talk about breaking the rotors in. I've grown tired of the "give me your car. I'll break them in for you. :D" statements. }:) :D

    I am going to install a complete set of brake pads myself as well! It'll happen within the end of this month. My brake light is always on now. :(
