After reading the thread on radar detectors, and leaving my post there, I figure it would probably do a lot of guys good to have this info. So here is my post from the Radar detector thread.

 

Good read and it might hold true in many area but forget it when you dealing with the campus police.

 

Remove steering wheel, put boot on right front wheel, remove battery wires, remove starter from under hood, remove other 3 wheels, remove engine and start it on fire (establish you are NOT going to try to get away)....

Just joking, had to... Actually me and friends were driving though Wisconsin and were pulled over, the driver did those things (put hands on wheel, rolled down window even though it was freezing), we asked officer for directions and he sent us on our way, even though we were going over the speed limit.

 

i've actually done all that, and that was on my first ticket
BUT the cop wasn't a nice guy SOOOO it wasn't too good for me lol
I even ask him to help me with directions and he just pointed, go that way

 

o...i should have read this thread earlier ...so i wont get a ticket lol...but i will try next time...ofcuz wish i wont be pulled over again lol

 

Good post. I have multiple friends that are officers and they say pretty much the same thing you did.

Only thing I try to do different is have my license in hand by the time they get there (as long as it’s easy to get).

I have always been overly polite and gotten away with it... even when I didnt have the paperwork with my updated insurance card after speeding... he warned me laughed at my joke and was pleasant...

politeness goes a long way which most young people have no idea what that word means...

 

Don't forget to tell them you have a permit to carry and you are wearing it so he can tell you it's a good call to tell him. Then have a conversation about the weapon you carry and find out he's a cool guy and then get a warning for your tint for the 3rd time in a row.

 

guys....i F***ed today ...lol ...i got another speeding ticket...the cop was on the on coming traffic side...i was goin 5 miles faster than the speed limited and my friend was following me ....and the car in front of me was way faster than us....the cop passed us, then he flashed the light then made a U turn, then he pulled us over and said we were goin 10 miles faster and gave us ticket....i was like WTF!!! he didnt pull the car in front of me...but us....how the heck he knows how fast we were going because he was moving too.....i already got one from 2 weeks ago for speeding because i had to dropped off some important thing for my friend who was taking off soon ....hahaha....that cop was so DUMB........make me SOooooooo MAD

i forgot the turn off the car and put the key...but i lower down the window and put hands on steering wheel ...and pull out my wallet to get my license with one hand...then he ask do i know how fast i was going....seriously..i didnt see any speed limited sign until he pulled me over and i was going up hill...so gay...so he took my license then just went up to my friend car, gave me a ticket after....can cop detect my speed while he car is moving too ??

 

What did the ticket say? 10mph over limit?

 

it said basic speeding..(thats all i remeber) the ticket is in my car...i willl post it up later

no because even if the car in front was in front of you doesnt mean you werent catching him.... you ask how can he detect how fast you were going... its called radar.. its part of another thing called technology.... ha ha ha just playing with ya...

sorry but you admitted to speeding even if it is only 5mph over.. how do you know your speedo is calibrated correctly... also I know the police have a buffer zone in their calibration of a couple miles or so up & down (leanway), so I think he was doing his job... I always speed 7-10mph on the freeways... never been pulled over, but I also aint doing something to drawer undue attention...

Of course you never mentioned if you and your buddy were weaving in and out of traffic or whatever... usually when guys are following each other in different cars.... playing will happen...

In my opinion.. you break the law in ANY way and get busted then I dont want to hear it... if you got a Rodney King beatdown for going 5 mile an hour over then maybe I would be worried...

 

seriously...i didnt see any speed limited sign until he pulled me over..so when he ask how fast i was going...i didnt know the speed limited cuz i thought its 40 mpg zone...anyways i have to suffer it ....people told me to go to court and see if the cop gonna show up or not ....if not ...then im fine to go ..lol..i dont know what should i do tho lol ....

 

I turn on the dome light in the car too, if it's at night so the car see me, I Know cops like this too, may have helped save me once.

The other thing is never admit you were speeding, if they ask how fast you were going, I like the play dumb idea, if you say yout think you were going 66 in a 55, they will write that own and take it to court with them, I think it's best to say you weren't paying attention, and if you really find the need to venture a guess how fast you were going, say something low, like instead of saying 66, say "I'm not sure maybe 60 mph" But I think overall you best off not admitting anything, remember the part "anything you say can be held against you in a court of law" that applies here too.

I'm sure it's mentioned, be as polite as possible, yeah even if you do all these things and still get a ticket, suck it up, and talk to a hearing officer, they'll probably cut you a nice deal anyways, "usually" there is no need to go to the actual court appearance to get a ticket reduced.

Did you call and ask to talk to a hearing officer first? Normally one ticket on your record doesn't do much, the second however seems to bump it up a bit.

 

not yet...i talked to the hearing officer like 2 weeks ago...but do i still have to talk to him like for the 2nd ticket..??

haha, that made me laugh a little bit. Some of it seems like its worth using, but locking your doors, etc, seems a little overboard. This video definately seems to be designed to aid those who have a lot to hide.

no still no pullover(maybe i paid them off like the mob when i was sleeping ) but everysingle one looks me down but does not follow, I am special

oh and by the way I love cops, i do, they are here to help not piss us off, but cops that suck are the ones that are bored and just pull you over every ****ing day for fun cause nothing happens in your area so YOU are the biggest threat(MY GTI)

 

i dont live around that area that i got pulled over...so i dont know..hahaha but actually...in my memory , when i was on the way to there ,i think i saw the same cop, but didnt pull me over when he first saw me lol ....what a dumb lol
