I've been looking through dozens of forums and videos and other advice from the Internet, but I'm still not fully in an understanding with how to properly give your wheels the "poke" look. I have 02 WRX and brand new 522 17x9 XXR's 5-100/5-4.5 with a +42mm offset and no tires please help!

There's actually a tried-and-true method of getting those tires mounted on a wheel, but it's a little unconventional.
    You start with this:

    Use one of these: [IMG]

And make your car like this:

At least, I'm pretty sure that's how you make your car poke stuff.

I think I may know what you are requesting. I did this to my old buick, well my brother did actually so he gets the credit. But what you do is you over inflate your tire till you get a big bubble looking structure. Should look almost cancerous like the size of a baseball. Repeat for all other tires to get this "poke" effect. If that isn't it maybe try depressing your finger or other extremity on the tire that will give it a "poke" look. To up your game try and get three (3) of your buddies and have them "poke" the other three (3) tires. I provide a picture of the first "poke". I hope this is what you are looking for.

    You rang?

You'll find no sanctuary here, new guy. Stancetards are scorned here. The "poke" look or, "hellaflush" or whatever, we don't condone that sort of foolishness. Put tires on your wheels that are appropriate for the width of the wheel. 9" wide....255 width tires are correct. A 245 would probably be ok. Anything more narrow than that, and you might as well go over to Facebook to MNSubiez group where the rest of the retards hang out.

Ribbing aside, there is no way to give your car a "proper" poke. That's the whole point of that backwards fad. To ruin cars in unattractive ways.

Reverse mount wheels (usually undersized, so-called mexi-flush) can give a poke effect/appearance, at the expense of your wheel bearings.

Negative offset wheels can give a poke effect, sometimes with similar results, but more often your fenders pay the price unless extreme camber is adpoted. (Hellaflush)

Properly sized tires and rims are too mainstream, too simple, and far too functional nowadays. Why not ruin every aspect of vehicle performance in the pursuit of aesthetics? Yup.

I hereby present the stancetard decoder ring that I found online, because I never understood what the heck they're talking about. 'Poke' is MexiFlush with stretched tires, for double dumb points:

Toss yourself off the top of a building downtown. I hear when you hit pavement, someone comes along and tells you the secret to being a stance tard.

    It was still probably Trent.
He most likely swapped emblems to Scion because he knows that we all hate him and he fits in better with the 16 year old girl demographic that scion attracts.

Lower offset and stretched tires. But you didn't hear it from meh. Stance-talk round here is like saying Voldemort's name at Hogwarts...
