How to test egt probe

    My egt stopped working and i am not sure if it my probe or the gauge itself. Is there a way to test the probe? Thanks, Taras

    What EGT gauge is it? What are the symptoms? I've had a number of problems with my Maddad v2 clarity EGT gauge. I'm on my third one, which stopped working last week.

    While the problems have sucked nuts, Rich @ Maddad has been quite helpful, and is currently working on new revisions of both the Oil Pressure and EGT gauges.

    Exactly i got Maddad v2. Well the gauge goes through the swipe and turns on fine but is not showing a change in egt at all. I am actully getting a new one next week anyway because he sent me a white/green one but i need a green/green one. Rich is super nice and is very helpfull.

    take out the probe and put a torch to it. Worked on my defi unit.

    i am thinking it could be the gauge itself. it looks like Bullwinkle had same problems.
