2500hd only ripped off your bumper? I'd call that your lucky day.

Man, very sorry to hear about this. I hope everyone is okay. You've had a few strokes of bad luck lately. Getting hit again? Was this weather related or just stupid driving on his/her part? Again, real sorry.

On the other hand, it sounds like you need to step up your defensive driving techniques. I'd hate to see the insurance company stick it to you.

I hear you. And it does suck. But driving around in my 1500 I've thought about what would happen if I ran into someone with it, and, well, I slow down a lot. 'cause that much steel can really, really mess things up.

Let's put it this way. I once saw a Suburban hit a Camaro at about 45mph. I hope there wasn't a passenger in the Camaro, because if there was, the death count doubled.

Well, we were at wheelock and payne in saint paul.

2 cars stopped before us (4 way stop) and the first car went, second car went (I was talking to my wife about it, it was a white subaru wagon). So after it goes, we go, she screams, STOP! I slammed the brakes, and he flies by, ripping off the bumper. If i didn't stop, would've t-bone the car. My wife and daughter are in the rear seats also. And it barely touched the bumper beam also. He was probably going 40. So his car is untouched, nothing really wrong with it. My car drives fine, headlights hanging.

Of course he tells the police a different story, which pissed me off .
He kept trying to tell me to give him my info, he'll give me his, and we go our own ways. I told him to wait and let the police get a report first. He wasn't happy with that, and kept pressuring me to trade info. Of course cops get there and finds out his DL is expired. He wasn't too happy.

So now, let's play the word vs word game.

Oh yeah, tomorrow morning, I'm flying out to Louisiana to get my OTHER car back.

SO, wish me all the mutha****** luck in the world, because I want to come back alive, in one piece.

Glad that things weren't worse Nuke! And all of the luck that I can muster up, I'll send your way. Be safe!:)

Is that intersection at a slight to moderate grade, or flat? 40mph is surely no joke, especially with your family in the car.

Dude, are you looking for an ass whooping?

    I'm not sure, I know it's not 40mph, but either 30 or 35.
He flew pretty damn quick, my bumper just exploded into mid-air.
Half way down the block, he slams his brakes, and I thought he was gonna run off. But he came back.

With your wife as a witness plus the suspended DL, I'd say you're in a better situation than most woiuld be.
This is assuming his insurance is valid.

Right, last I checked, you needed a valid license to get insurance. He probably doesn't have any, or if he does, his license JUST expired.

I'm surprised he had the guts to come back and exchange info, heh. By chance, did he have his headlights on? People who do not use their headlights in overcast/snowy/rainy/inclement weather are one of the PET PEEVES.

    Nope.
Insurance follows the car. However, if its another person's car the policy might only cover the named insured and "other licensed drivers."

I had a **** day at work all day, I got stuck in the tire room, then it was an unbearably slow night, and to top it all off, I get outside to my car to head home and my windshield is cracked. Obviously a stress crack, then on the way home I have my heater blasting and I get splashed with slush from a truck and it spiders. Doubt they'll cover it now that it doesn't look like a stress crack anymore. Ugh. I have **** luck.
