Anybody see the Gopher basketball game in Indiana last night? I was there, I'm on a road trip down to Tennessee for the Sharpie 500 and decided to stop off for the Big 10 Tournament. It was crazy to be a Gopher fan in that arena. Another insane miracle shot for MN native Blake Hoffarber.
Yeah, I watched at Burrito Loco on campus. Impressive what Tubby's accomplished in a year, honestly. The best part was when they interviewed Hoffarber after the shot with a "how did you do it," and he responded "I was actually supposed to be the decoy, but the ball just came to me so I just grabbed it and shot.."
It really was crazy. Indiana has such rabid basketball fans. I don't think I'll ever attend another basketball game like that. We were pretty much ready to leave as DJ White was on the free throw line (both times, in fact). After that shot, we had to stay and soak it all in. There was maybe 50-75 Gopher fans there total, not counting the Illinois fans who were chanting the U of M rouser, heh. They really wanted to play us, and not Indiana, as they've beat us 19 times in a row. Will be a HUGE game today. 3pm on CBS.
yeah...illinois will run circles around the gophers..way to athletic...at least tallackson is injured. but another reason to goto the bar!
