PM Dunk on Nasioc, he's been running one for a while and last time I talked to him it was working flawlessly.

I personally like the AEM better, it seems like it had more functionality and the user interface looked easier to use IMO.

The best bang for the buck is the Link Plus, depending on what you are installing the system into, but it doesn't have an AutoTune feature, if that matters a lot to you. Autronic is a quality system, but does not read knock. MoTeC is bada$$, but even more involving.

Basically, they all have pluses and minuses, and you need to do serious research on your own before deciding. Figure out what you want out of it, how you like the interface, and what what kind of capabilities you need. Keep in mind, a standalone will never have the thoroughness and redundancy that a factory EMS does. An aftermarket EMS will always need upkeep, and some things need serious time and patience to get right. How are you going to get your air-temp compensations right untill that weather arises? Things to think about. You can get a pro-tune, but you still need to take care of things on your own, unless you want to go crying to a tuner everytime your won't start or your idle surges a bit.

Just a few things to contemplate when thinking about going with a standalone.

i have one and love it. but for you i would go with a aem. when talking to jorge, the aem unit you can pull more power out of your set up. (forgot why?) but with a wrx it would be a better ems. now to me i would get a hydra if you have a sti because the last time i checked the aem could not run avcs right out of the box. you had to jerry rig something to control it.

Is it individual cylinder trimming? That could be the difference.

He told me, "fuel is fuel, timing is timing."
