i had to post these. im really looking forward to seeing what these cars can do. not only do they look awesome but they sound amazing too! here is some car porn for people who wanna take a look see!

Note: this year so far sales for hyundai are up 14%... their assurence warranty seems to be doing them some good.

ive been looking into these cars a lot. they will be cheaper to buy in canada. for those who are in the dark about the car. it made a debute in a superbowl comercial this year.

    2 power plant choices.
the 3.8 V6 that puts out just over 300hp
and the less expencive 2.0 I4 turbo.

    Dyno for the V6:

Looks like hyundai would do well to enter D1 with one of these. Making fans out of the dorifto crowd would definitely increase sales...and it has to handle better than a mustang.

we'll see how they fair after a year of real street use. I think they look fun, but I would like to see what opinions develope after the initial frenzy of positive press is over.

yeah that race car looking one is Rhys Millen's new Formula D car.

this has potential. but like putz said. gotta wait and see if it isnt a fluke. but it seems to have a bright future.

well Hyundai's have been around for years in Australia, and have always held up well, performed well, and had great fuel mileage etc for the price...

also they had a few running like 10Sec 1/4 in street driven trim...

rigoli has one... (obviously not street driven and actually in the 9s)

This car is somthing I could drool over, and if the Toyoburu never happens, this would a nice rwd to think about.

would you drift an new car anywhooo? I would rather drift the piss out of a rusty 20+ yearold pile, than try my hand at wrecking a nice new car!

(but I'm a serveraly unskilled driver)

No, I wouldn't drift it (cause I can't), but wouldn't be afraid to take it to a parking lot with cones etc.

Just saying it would be a nice change from owning cars that smell as old as they look simply because of their drive layout.

    I UNDERSTAND THAT.

now then, as a daily... This would be a fun car, but why would anyone daily a rwd? RWD is somthing that screams PROFORMANCE DRIVING!!!!!

    I'd daily the wifes outback....:laugh::laugh:

Edit ####WOW, that came out wrong! I guess I should say that as a putz, I should be limited to AWD. I'm simply incapable of driving anything else.

If I where to build a track car it would be a RWD, and I learn how to drive skillfully.

    #### end edit, sorry.

They still have the same Hyundai warranty.

As far as Hyundai quality... it won't be anywhere near the BMW's they are shooting for... so yeah, they're gonna have to cut corners somewhere.

I has had nothing but RWD cars from the time I was 16 until 22. I love RWD.

And this thing has promise. I'm keeping my eyes out for one, actually. I'd love to drive one for sure.

Its OK. It looks pretty cool from some angle, but it looks equally ugly from others. Also is it me or are you kind of limited on rear tire size because of the 1/4 panel? In a lot of those pictures the tires looks super close to rubbing on the 1/4s ( although I have no idea what width those rubber bands are).

The lines on this car are pretty impressive. From the reviews and the performance comparisons it tops the competition in its class. It has the ability to pull some serious G's. I have a cousin who just bought one of these. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on it and have a go with it.

Dispite the brand, I think Hyundai has some thing here that is really getting the other manufactors something to think about. Now they'll have to step up their game. LOL

I don't think Rys Millen won't be putting his reputation on the line onless he thought this car was worthy. But than again, these are the guys that can make just about anything look good on the track.

    Anybody what this video? http://www.hyundaigenesis.com/coupe/

The site is awsome you can view multiple angle all at once.

But... You've heard of drooling over a Subaru before?

Anyways, I like. It's not like Subaru was born into greatness. It takes time and years to build up a name. Hyundai is making all the right moves imo. I'd rock it and have no doubts about it's ability to keep running.

yeah its kinda big. but its just about the same size as a G37. but its almost 250lbs lighter when you get the turbo 2.0. and the v6 is still over 100lbs lighter than the G37. so its not too bad.
