Not only can it make pretty easy work of the local Neon and Civic guys (despite it's relatively stock engine). It's proving that it's an SUV in every sense of the name!! that's 4 8' peices, and 3 2.5' pieces of laminate shelving, aswell as a fullsize spare tire, spare fluids, and $100 worth of random Holloween party supplies from target.....
i have the same feelings as you... 2 days after i bought my wagon i put an engine (that was originally for my old mx6 that i scrapped) in the back and hauled it back to duluth during the duluth trip last year
hahah, that reminds me of the Dodge Magnum commercial. "Man! Whatcha got in that thing!!??!" "Well....."
That's awesome, man! I've done that a few times with my Forester and it always impresses me how much it can hold. Don't ever sell the Chuxwagon until you get another one that has more of what you like in a car/wagon/suv.
this most definately isn't the largest total load I've had in one of these things before. heck, this very wagon was my parts shed for about 2 years before I saved it. had an engine, tranny, rear subframe, 3 sets of rear brakes, 5-lug swap stuff, sway bars, tons of trim pieces etc. etc. but this is the first time I've had something this long INSIDE the car, (we did have a 20 foot ladder on the roof more than a few times though). and don't worry, the Chuxwagon's replacement will be just as much of a 'U.V.'.
I hauled about 150 board feet (I think that's right...) of red oak in my wagon last month... Thank God I didn't get in an accident, my dad has a way of convincing me that I can fit more into my car than I really should...
