it makes sense to me...the phaze 2 ej22 has 147 hp and a stock RS has 165...fuji has some crazy things done to that impreza so i bet your almost dead even stupid phaze 2 } fuji what are you gonna do with your heads when you do your ej22 t swap? phaze 2 heads on my ej25 would be crazy high flow, AND high compression
My phase 2 motor is rated at 142hp and 149lb ft tq. So to speak I think I have somewhere like....165hp at the crank right now. I had my sister with me, a spare 4.111 with the welded diff in the back, and Fong just had himself and without the rear seats and clunking rear struts. Power Mods as you may know it on my car are: floss air filter element MY93 intake pipe between MAF and TB Custom 2" "FuJi" headers Custom 2.5" midpipe with 2.25" glasspack, to 2.5" axle back w/ 3" magnaflow tip [laughing]2.8gals leaded 110octane racing gas[/laughing] Drivetrain mods: MY00 2.5RS driveLINE; tranny & rear viscous LSD diff (4.111FD) Exedy stg1 clutch welded tranny mount kartboy shifter bushings 2.5RS shifter I don't have a nice lowend pull like Fong's but the car gets up and going though, it's more linear than major low end torque like Fong's. I'm planning on boosting my NA block as well with the EJ22T rods and pistons, so I need the heads. I DO have phase 1 EJ22 heads as well as my EJ22T heads.
MY99 ej22s and newer got phaze 2 heads 142 HP, phaze 1 heads were good for 135 hp in 1996 or 137 hp 97-98
oh i see. i have a 97 L impreza, so that makes me have a phase 1 head. 137hp and 142hp isn't much of a difference.
