I just sold my 2005 VF39'ed WRX and I have purchased a new car from Florida...it is getting loaded up on a truck today and I should have it early next week. I am sad to say that it is not a Subaru but I am happy that I got my dream car...the car that I have wanted ever since it was unveiled 10 years ago!!! I do plan on buying a subaru around $2,000 for the winter. Guess what it is *Hint* I have 18x8 up front and 18x10 in back with 285's
I'm really curious... given the tire sizes is sounds like a beast, though. I'm guessing in the ballpark, but the 1999 date throws most of these out: 1) M3 2) GTR (obviously not unveiled in the US until last year) 3) 911 Turbo 4) Saleen Mustang ...and if you have money for these I'd be even more jealous: 5) Lambo Gallardo 6) Alfa 8C (20" wheels I think, but I had to throw it in 'cause it's such a sweeeeet ride)
Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. I found a MINT 2000 (S52) M-Coupe, black on black with 60,000 miles. $17,700 shipped to my door. It has every option, every maintenance record, and I am the 3rd owner. 2nd owner has had it since early 2002, it was a lease car for a little under 2 years. About 213 RWHP/200 RWTQ however I plan on supercharging it for 350 RWHP / 270 RWTQ this is going to be super fun at 9psi and fast as hell.
I will have to post some better pictures when the truck shows up, these are just the stock photos off of the posting. I am getting it tinted on Wednesday.
I think its a love/hate relationship with this car, you either love it or hate it. You can see why they get the nickname the clownshoe. Since I need to put license plates on it I will try to get CLWNSHU
Damn it I was going to guess that!! There is a sexy blue one around my parts! They sound pretty sexy!
Thanks, I will def. roll by FS once I get it here and get it cleaned up. I am thinking custom Magnaflow exhaust....hmmmm it starts all over again now
Ha, funny, I'm driving my buddies M Coupe for the next few days...but it's red and actually looks like a clown shoe Nice car...love them for sure. Although this one has some stiff springs and a racing seat...a little on the rough side Solid purchase...track it...they are insane on road courses. Pic is of him and another guy heading down to MAM.
oooohhhhhh the red is uber rare and sex on wheels. I plan on doing some track learning days up in Brainerd. I think everyone will agree that this is way hotter than the 350Z...especially on 9psi
Damn, that is one cozy engine bay. What kind of blower do people stuff in there? I vote Rotrex
centrifugal: there is ample room once the OEM airbox is removed, it is Rotrex twin screw: fits in nicely with the intake mani removed both kits use water/air IC to save space and keep the piping minimal. Figure $6,000 for the kit and clutch... for 150 HP gain at the wheels = $40 per horse.
the nickname i remember for them was Pregnant Rollerskate. my brother test drove one a few years ago and he said it was a blast to drive. it was also strange to be able to touch the back window from the drivers seat. Automobile listed this as one of their top "spend a little get a lot" cars a couple months ago. i too have lusted after one of these since their debut. enjoy!
There are only about 15 for sale in the country right now on ebay, craigslist, autotrader etc. In 2001 they went from the S52 to the S54 motor with variable intake and exhaust valve timing and it went from 240 to 330 horsepower. A supercharger on the S54 motor put down 400 horsepower to the rear wheels!!! Too bad the 2001 S54 M-Coupe goes for $25,000 and I got mine for $16,000. They stopped making the shoe bodystyle (E36) in 2002 I believe and in 2003 went to the current style.
PICTURES BUMP. I just used my shi77y camera...this car deserved a full on photo shoot. I will need someone to help me with that. Wash + Clay Bar + Wax + Wheel Cleaning + Interior Leather Conditioning = ME TIRED, SEXY SHOE
