    Check it out.

Watch it. Think about it. Pass it on…

I am sure we have all had some exposure to this and I am curious to see what our community thinks of it. I am sure we all have some opinion of this and I am curious to hear where some of us stand.

Ok I may have posted a time bomb.

I am very torn on this, I agree with the statement “I did not vote for him, but he is my president and I hope he does a good job.†Is he doing this grievous misdeed as Olberman says? Are we really in a state where we are in that much trouble?

I always thought that one man can not ruin America, that we have checks and balances to make sure that the power hungry cannot corrupt to an extent of turning our democracy into a dictatorship, are we on a slippery slope? or is this all part of the game? I am just looking for some others opinions on this topic, not to start a name calling debate. I am also not thinking that we should ban political talks on a forum but we should insist to keep name-calling out of it and try to be positive and constructive and I think if we are smart enough to buy Subaru then we are diplomatic enough to share opinions.

So where are we? Is there enough room to excuse this act of GWB or is this the final straw? And more importantly if we do not excuse this absolvment of scooter libby and erasing of his prison sentence, is that anything we can do?

I personally dont like Bush and what he does, but at the same time i dont like Putin too. And the most important, politics really doesnt affect my life directly at this moment so let it be. He is going to leave the office in like a year or so. New president new debates and problems.

unless it is neatly trimmed.... :yumyum:

People bash Bush, People Bashed CLinton... etc etc....

what else would you expect form an employee of MSNBC...

far right sucks, far left sucks... I am right winged but extreme anything sucks... I support Bush... he aint perfect.. and I wouldnt want his job... most of us cant handle someone telling us we suck for putting a BOV on our car, how in the hell would we think we could do better then Bush running a damn country... at least he has a lot of moral fiber unlike some other previous presidents.. uh oh... to far into politics...

either way it aint the President that can change or ruin a country its the morons who bitch about the way its happening and dont do anything positive to help or change things....

according to Negativland, "there are 2 things you don't talk about, one's politics, the other one's religion ... and the reason you don't talk about them is they combine with each other"

with that said, i'm staying out of this one altogether :)

I agree with the majority of what you said. He is after all one man, and only that. And he has an incredibly hard job. I am also in agreement with the disdain for people who complain and protest with out offering advice to help or promote change. Any complaints without alternative solutions are not help but rather a hindrance in the evolution of the dilemma.

Wow I see what I was recently told this does get deep with or with out the intentions. Bottom line I was looking for opinions and not looking to start an argument, thank you for keeping it clean. This is probably too big for any internet forum to hold.

Is this not Off-Topic? Why have a forum for non related car content if you don't want people using it?

^^^^ true that is... but we also dont want to become NASIOC either.. where it becomes a free for all at people with NO real common sense or manners...

I do think there could be sections for venting and civil arguments, but then again there are a million other forums out there for that crap too, and I think thats why this forum has taken the stand it has... kept MOSTLY pg rated, with a little MA occasionally... ha ha but to be a family friendly forum... for the most part ;)

Olbermann puts on a good show. Some think he just spews soliloquies of political bull****, and some think he's accurately depicting our current government.

At best, he is a one of the only sane voices of reason in an age of media shoddiness. At worst, he is an accurate balance to fox news, and media personalities like Bill O'Rielly.

However, watching both can be quite educational. There is nothing wrong with informing people of what's out there. If it gets even one person to question their belief's, whatever they may be, it's a good post.

American's are still under informed politically. Good post.

Nope, I don't know. However, I honestly think I'm well informed about politics, and my original point was that many Americans aren't (40% believe Saddam was involved with 9/11). I hope all you guys are!

While I fully understand it is bull****, I challenge you to read that indictment, and see how much of it sounds accurate, based on your knowledge of current media events.

Well, we sure as hell agree there. Our news media sucks donkey-****!

Nope, no offense taken, and I'm not trying to pick a fight, just maybe push people to stay informed. But you are totally right, to each his or her own. :)

For anyone interested, these couple media organizations are fairly good:
