I spent the weekend in Eden Prairie at the MN State Fire School and we ended up getting filmed by KMSP for a special they were doing. I ended up in it about 4-5 times, my first time on the news. The thing that sucks is now I have to buy pie for the station. It's a rule that you try to stay out of the news http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/myfo...n=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=3.2.1
I think I saw you in the background of one of the first shots when the guy was talking to the group... I think the guys at your station just really want pie if that counts as being on the news
There are three shots where they show the back of my helmet and you can see my name, and then two of them are facing me while I've got my gear on and I'm also in the briefing shot. And yes, they're greedy pie wanting bastards. I just had the bad luck to do this the month we'll be doing a station dinner.
hahahha...Brian, you handled your hose well! I had to watch it twice, but I definitely saw your name on the helmet while you were feeding the hose that was coming down the stairs! It was about half way through, right before "Andy from Plymouth's" interview. Kind of hard to see you with the full face on! +1 for Brian trying to keep us safe from fires!!
Curious I'm curious as we may be related. I know what the back of your head looks like, What about the front? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brian Shorten in the UK
(cue Twilight Zone music) I'm not sure if I should be creeped out or inquisitive... And yes, they sent a cute reporter. She wasn't Leah McLean, but she was cute

Not a stalker LOL. You can turn off the music. I’m not a stalker. I’m Brian Shorten from London in the UK. I was using Google to find some articles I’ve written - http://www.scmagazine.com/us/news/article/540833/we-cant-quite-so-open-more/ http://www.securecomputing.net.au/f...s-desk--banks-should-ask-safer-questions.aspx - and I came across Brian Shorten in the US. I couldn’t resist getting in touch, that’s all. If you’d like to swap details – we may be distantly related – that’s good; if not that’s fine also. Regards Brian
