Doesn't sound like anything I've heard of either. Did you happen to hear what context it was in? New model or anything like that?
I believe it was in reference to earlier models of WRX. Is it maybe the '02-'03 headlights? What I would call "bug eye". When I worked at the stereo shop, people would call wagons "bubbles". For example, a Caprice Classic Bubble. It was the big round wagon. That's my two cents.
