alright, so on the way to my parents house for the christmas morning dealy...anyways, i took off realativly fast from a stoplight, and i saw that this s-10 was on my buttox fairly close, which naturaly got me pissed....the lane next to me clears, and he tries to get around, so i kick her down and dont let him, in front of me, the light turns red (its hwy 7 in front of minnetonka highschool so its two lanes) so he gets next to me, and starts revving it up (now i can see its an s-10 xtreme SS and has exhaust,and i could tell it was a v6 and at least an intake)so the light turns green, i launch at 3500 and he spins pretty badly, so im immediatly 3 car lengths ahead of him,i gain about 1 more on him, so in the end i was about 4 lengths ahead i let off at 90 when he gave up...i was quite impressed, then the next light turns red...i dont race him, but look over to give him a thumbs up, and he wont even look at me he got schooled and wasnt man enough to admit it [Mod] Moved thread to Off Topic

eh? L power? hehe I pulled on a WRX (BOV & Axleback) from 60-75mph on a 3rd gear pull for me and a 4th gear pull for him. Pulled on him from a standing in 1st and half of second, he caught up a little into 3rd. Then again he's not a very skilled driver so this wasn't even a race at all..... A Civic WOT'ed on me. I would have humiliated him if I did the INFAMOUS AWD launch. I still pulled him in 2nd gear passing in 3rd. He must have thought this "wagon" was just nothing.... I rather see what they got at the track using "ALL" the skills required for keep the car stable in all conditions when cornering. *ALL SKILLS as in double-clutch heel-toe downshift and rev matching. Being confortable when the vehicle is AT the limit.
the AWD launch is an amazing thing...i dont care how sticky your tires are on your FWD car, it wont even compare
nobody tried to race you eh? well isnt that the point of a sleeper, to not look very fast my car doesnt look very fast, but doesnt look or sound slow either, and just plain isnt slow!
Oh, don't worry, my car doesn't look fast, and for good reason! But I'll race ya, any one of ya, I know of a few good swamps }
I got my first win and race in my wrx this morning. I was heading home from my girl's place. This black civic hit me off wanting to race me. I know for sure it had a intake and exhaust... anything else I don't know. With my STOCK wrx he thought he could take me. Launched it at 4000rpm...(thanks to the tips from this site) I was a car ahead of him when I went into 2nd. It was a great way to start the day....
In Woodbury there was a 92 civic with exhaust and altezza tail lights. I was behind him at the light and he revved a few times, then a few more. Then took off. I just drove normally, noticing I was going about as fast as him. Low and behold, then next light turns yellow, then red and we are both next to eachother at the light. The civic shows me a roar, I feel no fear. Then I look over and two 16 year old kids peering over at me. So I wait for the light to turn green, bring it to 5 grand and let her rip. I couldn't believe how incredibly slow this other car was. It was literally 10 car lengths behind me in 2nd gear. They pull up next to me at the next light and there are people infront of us and he asks me, so is that an STi. I replied yes, and he goes, "those are F'n fast!". So I got home and went to sleep. That was my Kill.
