    oh and stupid nasioc and RS25 for not pointing it out....

    automatic and manual starters are different and are not interchangable.....now you all learn the easy way and not the hard way like me.....cheers! less $ in my pocket and more junk to have around.....i'm never building my car again!!!

    so you bought starter for an auto and not for a manual?

    there's an impreza L at the junkyard that was an automatic with 35k on it....could've been a good investment....but turned out bad.....

    it can't be that bad can it, what is really different between the two starters? is it possible to take your bad MT starter and the good AT starter and make one good MT starter. I would have to bet that the differences would most likely be pretty superficial.

    my MT starter is missing......somehow after the 2 months ofm ycar being down....it dissapeared..im guessing my parents trashed it along with my WRX tmic which is also missing....if not for that I wouldn't even had gotten a starter......oh and im not sure about the differences....they both look the same to me...i think one is just larger because the auto starter wont' fit into the hole where the starter goes.
