I put my snow tires back on to my car on Monday evening in anticipation of the snow storm that was headed our way. I was in a hurry and must have forgotten to torque down the lugs on one of my rear wheels. On the way into work this morning, I felt that the back end was loose and there was a bit of clunking as I would turn. I figured that I would look at it when I got to work, but about a mile down the road, I ended up loosing a rear wheel completely... I had to run down into the ditch, get the tire, jack up the car, and steal a lug nut from one of the remaining three corners. Torque your lug nuts!!!!!
BAHHHH! I got at least one person!!! It's more believable than I totaled the car. April fools. :wavey:
I also had a friend who this happened to. He got his tires at tires plus in apple valley or whatever that is by Michaels and he was exiting on an off ramp and the wheel came off when he tried to turn and he smashed into the retaining wall on a bridge and totalled his car.
