    ***SOLD***
    Dear MN subaru Members,
Before I create a new thread in the for sale forums to possibly try to sell my salvaged titled 2002 wrx impreza with a stage 2 kit, The Car still runs and the internals are still in good condition except the vehicles body.
I decided to have a quick discussion here.

Is there anybody or do you know anybody that would be interested in my salvage titled silver 2002 subaru impreza wrx with a turbo back exhaust for parts or a project car with a needed exterior rebuild?

So the question is, What happened?
The accident Happened in February of 2009,
I was driving down the highway during snowy weather until this foolish black grand prix came behind me and tried to pass me.
We are talking snowy weather here, so as it tried to pass, it started fish tailing and it hit and skid my back right bumper then it hit and damaged the front right fender, then I spun out and busted the left bumper.
Pictures will be included in a bit.

I'm currently trying to settle the claim with the insurance agency right now.
The insurance agency said that the damage done to the car is near to the point of what it's worth so they will not fix it, instead they will give me payment for it or i can take the car as salvage titled and get partial payment.
    $3000.00 or Best Offer
So whats included with the salvaged titled 2002 wrx,
    4 ngk iridium spark plugs
1 liter jug of Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil
***NEWLY ADDED, I GOT 2 BRAND NEW LICENSE PLATES WITH STICKER TABS FOR THE CAR.***

Engine is at 125k on it with regular oil changing intervals of Mobil 1 fully synthetic.
The stock clutch setup still catches smoothly.
    The stock transmission works smoothly
Car is basically stock except the turbo back exhaust setup.

If I can find a decent paying job this week, i'm keeping my subaru but due to the poor economy, I have to let this baby go.

Both engine and transmission has 125000 miles on them.
    Including the Turbo.
My new years resolution was to do a full maintenance overhaul on the vehicle in the summer as this car was suppose to last me through college, but I was involved in a hit and run.

I dont like wasting gas, so I don't beat my car around the honda bush.

    Yeah, the car still runs,
    internals are fine,
Before I brought it into the insurance agency for inspection,
I asked my subaru buddies for a quick inspection.
They drove it and said its fine.

I'm sure if I absolutely tried I could scrounge up 3k with all my investments, but I would rather not cash out all my stocks, high interest savings account and drain my checking, its still a dream for me, however, salvaged cars either sell fast or they don't, which means I coils see this car on my driveway by the end of summer wothout cashin my stocks if I really work at it, because eventually a swap is my next big step with my car once the engine dies.

    Could use student loans.. though..:raise:

    Ok everyone,
I just got my car back today from the insurance agency,
its currently parked in coon rapids,
Front bumper assembly and headlights are pieced in my car.
comes with 2 brand new license plates with tabs.
Any further discussion questions should be taken cared of in here before I officially post this on the for sale thread.
It felt good driving it like again, Still runs great,

    $3500.00 or best offer,
will consider reliable vehicle import trades or other subaru trades
    thanks mnsubaru,

you shouldn't, but should carry your front license plate with you incase popo ask.

when the effer ripped my camry bumper off, I drove for about almost 2 months without a front bumper.
Never had issues with cops, they've driven pass me and such.

oh, one more thing to notify you interested buyers,
once i Fix up the front bumper and get everything in the front back into place,
i'm seriously thinking about keeping the car.
I'm praying to God to save my subaru to I can survive through college.

Meaning that, yes, the internals are just fine.

my buddy hit a deer with his car, and the damage was more than the car, so it got totalled, but it didnt have to have a salvaged title because it was ALL cosmetic damage, and something with the car being older than 7 years old... there is a loop hole there, look into that, cuz u may not have to get salvaged title.

My impreza has a salvaged title from hail damage, it has nothing to do with how the car drives, or what kind of damage the vehicle has.

are you sure you know this 100%, he is in auto body school, at st. cloud, and his teacher told him to look into it, so he did, and the state gave him a normal title on his buy back.

A car being totaled has to do with the value of the repair vs the value of the car. If you have an old car and it gets hailed on, then it may be totaled due to the cost to repair the car. It'll still drive the same, but it has been damaged to where the cost of repair is close to or exceeding the value of the car. If the insurance company totals the car out, then it will have a salvage title.

Yep, 100% this. If the cost of repairs is greater than the value of the vehicle, expect a total-out.

I have to bring this thread back up again now,
My brother in law that intentionally was going to buy my car failed to make payments due to financial difficulties because of his family situation.
So it's back in the market,
Will not create a new thread into the for sale forums until everything is straightened out with.

Everything is still the same as before except leaves on top of the car.

    Fuji came by today,
    started the car up,
    revved it up a bit,
Fuji quoted, "motor still sounds good, internals are still good."

    Contact me for further details,
$3000.00 for a salvaged titled wrx

    Still runs great.

Would keep it as my wrx project car if I had the money to repair the front frame,

Just starting this baby up brings me back the beautiful memories.

Contact fuji for more technical aspects and details.
