We are both Deadliest Catch fans and saw a comercial with the cast asking to do seafood instead of Turkey. We both thought hum. We have a huge lobster tail and a couple of prawns in the freezer. Checked the coastal seafoods website, bam 20% off on crab on Wednesday. YES!

I love bird day and all but this was way better!

That does look like a delicious idea! So what drinks did you have to go with that?

I made a ham instead of a turkey. We have a ton of leftovers. Looks like it's ham sammiches and omelettes for the next week  :)

I brined a 23lb turkey for 2 days and then cooked it with compound butter under the skin and bacon draped over the outside. First time I ever did a turkey, but it was amazing :yumyum:

I remember when we did Thanksgiving with Filet Mignon and Lobster tails. It was damn good but not the same without Mamma's stuffing.

Those look just a bit too much like the facehuggers from Alien.

We did manage to get a turkey, but had to fight tooth and nail with the butcher to get it. It was frozen, and imported, and he couldn't figure out why anybody would want one a whole month before Christmas. But we did get it, and it cooked up lovely, stuffed with an onion, a lemon, and slathered in garlic butter.
