We have a huge lobster tail and a couple of prawns in the freezer. Checked the coastal seafoods website, bam 20% off on crab on Wednesday. YES! I love bird day and all but this was way better!
hmmmm.. you should see how we used to do Christmas back in Australia.. Morton Bay bugs, View attachment 13954 Lobsters Crabs, King Prawns.... and of course steak... which I thank God for as I dis-like seafood
I made a ham instead of a turkey. We have a ton of leftovers. Looks like it's ham sammiches and omelettes for the next week :laugh:
I brined a 23lb turkey for 2 days and then cooked it with compound butter under the skin and bacon draped over the outside. First time I ever did a turkey, but it was amazing :yumyum:
I remember when we did Thanksgiving with Filet Mignon and Lobster tails. It was damn good but not the same without Mamma's stuffing.
Those look just a bit too much like the facehuggers from Alien. We did manage to get a turkey, but had to fight tooth and nail with the butcher to get it. It was frozen, and imported, and he couldn't figure out why anybody would want one a whole month before Christmas. But we did get it, and it cooked up lovely, stuffed with an onion, a lemon, and slathered in garlic butter. Stuart.
I like your crab crackers, but I only see one seriving plate, and you said "both of us" are you refering to the lobster and you? Are you lonely? My wifes family is having a Laos thanksgiving on saturday. Ther will be rolls, egg rolls spring rolls and all sorts of Lao foods!!! Papaya Salad! but they do that every year.....
That's it was great, Kim had wine and I had pop. Better than all those Pass Times you watch! HAHA no it was Kim and I enjoying this one.
