That sucks. I get service everywhere, even when I went down to Mexico for a week. The only time i dont get service is when i am working(I do most of my work in boiler rooms and they are surrounded by cement).

well if you dont have problems with service, im sure it would be fine, looks like a cool phone, with nextel though it almost seems that the phone part isnt as payed as much attention as the direct connect(by nextel) thats just me i see them advertizing it as "a walkie talkie, with phone included", you know what i mean?

I HATE that walkytalky crap. I have sprint and I pay 5 buck a month to talk to any sprint phone unlimited.

Sprint works in mexico. I used mine in T.J. and a few other places. If you go to LSPR (lake supperior pro rally) no coverage, but I pay the 5 bucks and get ulimited roaming when I know I will not get coverage.

Look at the plan prices too maybe for what you want and need nextel is the way to go.... Maybe not.

Main thing is look at what they offer you. At any rate if you like that walkytalky stuff, the newer sprint phones can do that stuff too.... FREE, if you have vision.
This is the phone I got. you get get it 70-80$ cheeper at costco

...just a new phone or new phone and service (Nextel)? If you don't already have it, don't get Nextel, it will piss you off. The ONLY reason Nextel is in business is the "push-to-talk" service. Being they were the first to have it, the construction industry picked it up in a HUGE way. About the only ones left using it are the construction companies that already have the infrastructure (a bit of an over-exageration, but only a bit). There will be minimal difference between the other major providers, the real difference in reception is the actual phone.
