The rally will be Saturday, October 29th at 7:00 pm starting in Cannon Falls. I don't need an experienced co driver as I'm doing this for fun, and it's my first rally. My only requirements are that you don't get carsick looking at directions, you split the $20 entry fee (payable that night, I'll cover it up front) and you don't mind Jimi Hendrix. PM me if you're interested, I'll need name, address and email, etc. so I can get us registered right away. Also, if you're an SCCA member and if you've ever run this before. Thanks!

P.S. The first member who pm's me gets the first slot. Thanks!

whats a rally map look like compared to a normal street map? i have never seen one before.

I have no clue, but I'm sure between two of us we can figure it out.

i went on (and won class c!) the tombstone last year.

like a scavenger hunt/tsd combined, you will get a map of the area with cemeteries pre-plotted and determine which route to take on your own.

There are some other things, but best kept secret till you guys do it on your own.

    =)

    great fun.

    mostly gravel.

    70/30 gravel/roads id say.

    Depends what route you take.

Sounds like way too much fun. What about talking to Eric Nelson, I'm sure he would have a contact that might have some experience in the co-pirates seat. If this is your first rally, you want a co-driver with some experience, might be worth it when coming up to that blind 90 degree turn with the drop off and the stand of trees next to the swamp...or so I've heard.

Actually, he and I were talking about you today ;) You happened to come up in a conversation we were having. Anyway, I'm not planning on pushing any limits, I just want to go have fun. Who knows, I might even have rally tires mounted on the car by then, I'm getting a set of nice Michelins from him, but they'll be hell to drive on for the weekend. Probably just run with the snows...

I did it on Azenis last year....

The most important thing is that you have a good route. You shouldn't NEED to be hauling ass if you did the homework right.

then again there are stretches that are great fun.

I'm going to Chicago that weekend, otherwise I would go.

Well the very best of luck to ya. I'm pretty new to the Rally scene myself. I had a friend who did rally back in the late 70's, I helped with some wrenching and some pit stuff but it was pretty small time back then.

The GF and I are going out to the Lake Superior rally race next weekend in Houghton MI. We're gonna go to spectate and cheer Eric on. We've offered to help out but there's only so much a couple of noobs can do before it becomes a hindrance.

As of right now, things are on hold as my original co driver may be coming out from Milwaukee after all. However, if that falls through then 2.5~RS has the first shot, then LVT. It'd be nice if we could get a few of us out there, it sounds like it'll be a fun club event. I'll keep the previous 2 guys posted as to what is going on. Thanks!
