    my bad my bad...

    either gonna go with sti heads not running avcs till i can come up with more funds or just my wrx heads on my 2.5l sti block... i know the gaskets will be cheaper way, but i wanna upgrade some more later on...

    gotta go for broke, that's what we live for... any big advantage/disadvantage sti heads vs wrx heads on sti block?

    I think the cams on the STi heads are a little more aggressive than WRX cams. Plus, when you get the funds you can take advantage of AVCS.

    Your compression ratio would be a bit higher if you used WRX heads on an STi block, depending on what head gasket you used, of course.

    Evenually, I'd like to get STi heads to use on my EJ22T block, but I'm holding out till I get out of school and make it a dedicated track car, I think. We all know how that goes though.:roll:

    EJ22T with AVCS STi heads and a Garrett GT35R. mmmmmmmm (*notices drool on the keyboard*)

    You know, with 2.0L V7 STi heads...that would be pretty sweet. Something to think about. When do you plan on doing this? I'd like to take a peek at it.

    I'm gonna be running the EJ22T heads with the Delta cams for now. Hopefully with the cams, they don't choke out so bad at 5500 rpm. I still need a few things to be able start this project, so different heads might be a project for next summer. My GT2871R should come on boost real quick, so I'll still have a pretty usable powerband. I guess we'll see.
