well i need to replace pretty much my whole front end on my 02 wrx wagon, so what are your suggestions? i was planning on pickin up a sedan front bumper and fenders, and also a front lip of some sort, and grille of another sort... i also need headlights but only gettin about 500 to replace them... and also any sites that you know of would help me out a lot too... thx
IMHO, sedan fender flares look really strange on the wagon if you don't have any rear flares fabbed up also -- and that will cost $$$ x 1654651 to do. What happened?
I think the sedan front end looks great on a wagon. If you need all the parts at once though, good luck trying to get a deal on everything. I think for a bumper cover OEM is the only way you're going to get one unless its from a junkyard and you get lucky. AFAIK there are never any WRX's in junkyards with many useable parts on them. An oem bumper cover runs about $300, the fenders I have no idea... Grilles can be had cheap enough, I have one lying around my place but its not for sae, but ask around from people who have replaced ther oem grilles with aftermarket ones, or just get an aftermaket one like I did. I believe my grille cost me like $40. There was someone selling a set of bug eye headlights on here a few weeks ago. Also I assume your insurance is covering this as you said "they" were paying you some money. If you're buying OEM parts under insurance they can readjust the price based on the actual repair cost to bring it back to OEM specs. They have an added form for the mechanic for add ons, or just take it to a shop certified by the insurance carrier. you wont get to buy extras like that front lip with the money, but you wont have to worry about them not covering your headlights either.
I got an OEM cover for my 02 it was under 150. The rear was under 150 as well. OEM fender was around 120.
no it wasn't that bad of an impact (i dont even need a new condensor) let's just say don't get too carried away rallying after it rain the previous day... but i'm not worried about the cost of parts to be honest (they're kickin me a huge check) i do work at a body shop and i wont be payin for labor and i also get they're discount on parts... the real reason i started this thread was to get help choosing the best front lip and grill... i've already made up my mind to go with the sedan front... but are there any companies you would suggest or steer me clear of so i don't end up with garbage? oh yea... i'm gettin the solid sti fog covers:yumyum: and possibly sti grill(or c-west v2)
maybe if i was replacing my core support and also if i liked 04-05 fronts but i'm still lookin for quality sites if anyone knows of any. i may go through primitive but i would like to shop around a bit first
