I cannot find a wheel that I like. I have looked and looked but cannot decide on anything. I pretty much have the size and color down, but absolutely cannot find anything I want to spend money on! The color I like (open to other opinions) is bronze, size is 18x8.5 +40ish. I like the style of grids but honestly, way to overdone imho. I do not want to buy some crazy expensive wheels either (no works, volks, etc) Heres a pic of my car (dgm). What do YOU think?????????
I have a DMG 09 Hatch.... I know you said.... but... if I had the money. ROTA GRIDS. That is the only wheel i have found that i would actually spend money on. If it will happen is another question, i enjoy painting my stock 09 rims and winter rims for the time being. Not sure if you have seen how they look on our car... those grids do look really good, just wish there was some different variation of them.... As far as used goes, I don't mind as long as they are basically mint (no rashes, etc) i would like to keep the cost to roughly no more than 250 each, and that it kind of the high end, which doesn't leave me with a whole lot of options... I will have to take another look at the drags, I have checked them fairly recently and I guess nothing caught my eye. I used to have a set of drags on my old car and really liked them, really lightweight. Wedsport have some pretty decent looking ones as well, Havent found my size with them tho. Kind of pricey too/: I'll check the tenzos too. Thanks for suggestions!
oh dayum..... size isn't quite right tho.....mehh http://www.tenzoracingsports.com/co...version1_titanium_bronze&group=cuzco.version1 reasonable price tho
If you like the style of grids check these out. http://www.xxrwheels.com/xxr_522_19.shtml# I think the gold would look the best on your car but if you like the chromium black I have a brand new set in 17x8 that haven't even had tires mounted yet I'd sell.
I am not sure what you are thinking... but the Rota P45's are a very similar 5 spoke (instead of 6) version of the grids. A buddy of mine just picked some up for his car and they look sick.
Cool, couple more question before I throw out some suggestions lol How would you rank importance of weight, design (looks), and strength? Daily driven summer wheels, right?
those are awesome, def. do like. not quite correct size available, however, I am not sold on gold for my car. the flat black would be my 2nd choice. EDIT... wow, those are affordable too Design, strength, weight... in that order, but all very close. I would love a nice lightweight wheel that is strong because I drive in MN! Of course I really want something that looks right as well. These are for the daily driven summer setup. It may see a day or 2 of road course track and possibly a drag strip, no offroad/rally business though.
These were my choices before I bought by set of wheels. They are both offered in black and gold. But we won't have that big of a lip on our offsets. XXR 527 XXR 521
I went with Enkei RPF1 in gunmetal on my sedan. Love the way they look. Only went with 17", wanted to keep the weight to a minimum and reuse the stock Dunlops.
5-spoke: http://www.importimageracing.com/p/enkei-Racing-Series-rP03-Wheel-WRX-STi.html 6-spoke: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...lse&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand 12-spoke: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...lse&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand Or are you looking for more spokes? Lip? Call around, there are always deals out there for wheels.
I like those prodrives a lot, however I would like it to be a lower offset, +40 and. But that style is really nice. I like that low offset concave-ness look. spoke amount does not matter as long as it looks right. So far awesome suggestions, just seems hard to get the right size and color!
No pics of them yet, was planning on taking some pics Sunday. Car is black and I haven't done any suspension mods yet. I know some people don't like the fender gap with 17" RPF1, but I think it looks fine.
Awesome, id love to see a pic when you get some. I may have to settle for some rotas if I can't find what I want I.n my size. Seems like rota is the only company that offers many size variations
