And I want to pay less! I only get internet connection with Comcast. I don't have phone service or cable TV from them.
So! Who gets cheaper internet connection than I do? From who?

The thing is... Comcast said that since I've cancelled my phone service from them, I lose my discount. I used to pay $45 for it, but now it has been raised to $60. That is a little on the expensive side for cable connection. And I don't want to lose out on fast internet speed.

Does Qwest offer broadband internet connection? What other companies offer cable internet at a good price?

Just get your phone service back and pay 45 bucks! I dont think there are any other options, if you have Comcast in your area im pretty sure there are no other providers for high speed in that area.

Cable that is... YOu cold always go the DSL with the phone lines. I've been a cable junky for a couple years, but from what I hear DSL is almost as quick and would get you off of comcast's tity.

Yeah I pay $30/mo for DSL service and that includes the basic ISP option through Qwest. I've only ever seen it down twice in the two years I've had it. Cable download speeds are almost always faster, but I more than make for it in upload speeds (if you're into that sort of thing). My service is 3Mb down, 1.5Mb up.

I agree. I work with DSL all day. SOOOO many issues. Especially for businesses that need static IPs.

IMO both cable and DSL suck for businesses. Both are equally reliable which is still sub-par for what a business should be running on. If you want reliability with your biz you should be running your own server and paying the exhorbitant price that goes along with it.

However that being said I would take the faster upload speeds of DSL any day over the faster download speeds of cable. However if you're only downloading the porn instead of serving it then cable is perfect for you :p

Update: I just cancelled my Comcast connection. All of it! Both cable television and high speed internet. They gave me the run-a-round with their pricing. Very unorganized. I will not go back. :(!
