If you haven't read or witnessed what happend to my car today check out the fall run thread. i have pics of my busted A** car on there. i know i need a body kit and i was doing some looking last week. (weird) but i was wondering what you guys thought of this one!

    http://www.japanparts.com/Pic/pic077/028-004.htm

they list the whole kit for about $1,900. Is that too much? i found the same kit at www.body-kit.com(under SPEC-RA body kit for 05) but it doesn't list how much it is. on the japanparts website it is listed under INGS N-SPEC hybrid aero kit. (for 05) just wanna know what you guys think and also if you know of any other place to get that kit. thanks guys

Like the kit.. theres a version of that comming out for the 06 .. ((not sure if it's out or not yet)) that looks sick, but the rear on the 06 is definatly one to be desired.

I liek the rear on this one alot.

    if you can afford it...
go for it. it's one of the more stylish kits out there.

these guys can get you anything ask for Roo.

if you do get INGs, be prepared to wait. Almost nobody stocks their kits and most will be 4-8 wk lead time

Don't forget you are going with a front mount. The piping will be visiable without fog light covers.

I thought i found one of these kits with the covers but i might be wrong. but even if i don't get one with covers i think it would look kinda sweet cause my pipeing for the FMIC is all crinkle red. here is a pic of the kit on a car with a fmic

    http://www.body-kit.com/sub04wrxsl.html
check that out and lemme know what you think it would look like with the red pipeing.

Don't buy replica. Authentic is worth any waiting and the extra money. Replicas give FRP and aftermarket body kits a bad rap. If you want INGs buy INGs, don't buy INGs "style"

OK this kinda blows. I was looking around on the web for some different sites to find that INGS kit on. but now looking through IWSTI.com and stuff i con't seem to find the kit for under $2,500!!! The only place i found it for cheaper was the japanparts.com. for about $1,900 do you guys think that site is legit?? Thanks again for all the imput and advice. Later

Maybe invest in some driving classes before you get a body kit + 400whp

    Sorry, I had to :)

I will probably be instructing at the autocross novice school again next year. Yo might want to go since it will get you started on all sorts of principles that will make you a more consistent driver, and to have the awareness to think "this is what I need to do to avoid disatster" rather than "well, that's what I could have done to avoid disaster"

remember: always look ahead, no sudden braking or acceleration while turning, get as much of your braking done in a straight line as possible, learn the threshold of your brakes, don't do anything like trail braking, left foot braking, heel toeing etc until you would feel comfortable calling yourself an expert driver in front of people likely to laugh at you, and find out enough about your suspension to know when the traction breaks, what throttle-on oversteer feels like (you have a lot of it, going to have a lot more with those mods) and get comfortable counter steering in quick reaction situations.

once you get the hang of all of that you should be ok =]

And as for body kits, jsut get a new stock bumper cover. its cheap and looks good, not so darth-vadery. If you do get a kit, remember that the subtle ones are ofteb the best as they don't argue with the lines the car designer originally intended.

but then again, this is coming from someone who almost bought these a few weeks ago:

YEA YEA! haha dream! very funny! i don't know what to. it seems there is only one of those kits in the u.s right now. it is a mix matched kit though. the front is fiberglass, and the side skirts and rear bumper are the hybrid pieces. which is a fiberglass and urathane mix or sumn like that. and the cheapest i can get that kit shipped to my door is $2550. which really sucks that it is soooooo expensive for just a body kit! what should i do??

Yeah deffinatly! I think that is what i'll end up doing is just getting the stock stuff. i can get everthing i need plus paint and all ready to go back on the car for about 1,250! i think that is a pretty good deal. you don't think that the dealership would warranty that kinda thing would they??

Haha only if you can argue that the front and rear bumpers were defective and caused you to into the ditch lol Pretty sure that wouldn't happen :p Just kidding, but yea, I think a nice front lip would be great. Thinking about adding one when spring comes around for the '06 WRX (It'll look kinda like a weird hybrid of the '07 STi special edition hehe)
