I had a deer collision last nite on 35. Busted up my front passenger foglight, cracked the front bumper in a few places, left misc deer parts all over my brand new silver paint in the front and chunks of hair and crap and some white fatty looking material in my passenger side rim, took out that little orange plastic piece under the blinker, and crunched my Cobb license plate frame while also doing a number to the license plate itself. Just wondering if anyone has any inexpensive parts ideas...I have a guy that can do paintwork. I'll probably need a whole new front bumper, and two complete foglight kits along with another little orange vent piece(01 RS). This is like the thousandth animal I've killed with this car and if I can fix it without making another claim life would be good. The running total for my car is now 2 deer killed, 1 porcupine, 2 raccoons, 1 crow(middle of winter-go figure..I didn't need the drivers side foglight anyways),1 unidentified yellow bird,1 possum, 1 rabbit, and 2 squirrels. This car is my baby, believe me I don't aim for them. I think my car is cursed } As always any advice as to where to go would be greatly appreciated - should I be looking online for OEM parts or aftermarket parts, lookin for a junkyard RS, saying f-it and let my friend who does the paintwork order them(he can hook up labor and paint but not parts), or should I just throw away my license and stop driving because apparently I'm a menace to animal society and maybe myself Off topic once again, who gave me the thumbs up on 42 the other day in Prior Lake - black WRX????
Sorry to hear of your bad luck. It doesn't seem that your Cobb equipment is keeping roadkill off the streets either.
Thats sucks, maybe you need a Forester outback T . Well i am searching my self for parts. RS25.com sometimes have peeps who wants to get rid of things. I havent found a suby junkyard yet...Err..
Fong - actually the headers got a piece of the deer too so yur absolutely right I had to pull animal parts out from under the front bumper some being stuck to the headers, nasty business. Yia - I'll keep my eye out on the bigger boards and see what comes up. How's that exhaust treating you by the way now that you've had it a while? I still may end up getting rid of mine for a 2.25". I'm thinking Borla for the sound but I'm keeping my options open. Zola - Good to know mine isn't the only one..lol Maybe its karma getting us back for something - we just aren't allowed to have and keep nice things. It may be a short while before I can fix the bumper but does anyone have any clue as to where the cheapest place to get a new set of fogs would be... not just bulbs but the whole casing and also another one of those orange vent pieces underneath the blinker(or I've seen silver in pics - that would be awesome being my car is silver)?? The bumper damage really is more scratches with a couple cracks so if the lights and vent piece were fixed you wouldn't be able to tell unless you were right next to it.
Sorry to hear about your incident. Maybe you should consider getting some DEER WHISTLES if you dont already. Otherwise you may have to resort to installing a plow in the front. Where do you live anyway? At the ZOO! You should shoot MNautobody a pm he does body work, I'm sure he can help you with getting some parts at a deal as well. I personally dont think its your luck, if it was you wouldn't be here. Hope that helps. C
Sorry to hear But did you check Yia post on bumper (under for sale) I place the list of the cheapest parts around...good luck http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=966
You need some of those deer whistles on your bumper! I see them all the time in rural areas on peoples cars. Yes you are a menace to society If your friend can do the painting and labor that's a lot of the cost there. I'd get parts through his distributor and save the money at paint/labor.

Yes, they can hear you but they are too stupid to move and sometime they just stare at the light .....they get freak out and froze there.....
