haha i was thinking about it! but this other one came across my path and i loved it and told him i was buying...but he took less money and sold it a day earlier..
Similiar. I setup an appointment to look at a wrb wagon at BP dodge. I was late 30 mins, cause google map took me their old address. I had to drive and search for them. When I got there, someone was test driving the car, so I waited almost an hour for my turn, you can put it. Well that guy decides to buy the car. I drove by the car before i left the lot, Fing clean as hell, even had new tires. $9997 with 85k miles. I nearly cried. :emo: But then I found this <<< and Im happy. The white is nice.
No, but I did buy my WRX before someone on here did. But hey, I bought it from my uncle's dealership.
Happened twice in a row for me when I was looking to replace my DSM (which was only a temporary car). First time was on eBay for a well-built MY98 turbo RS. I won the auction but missed the reserve. After talking with the guy he re-listed it with a lower reserve and I won again, but this time he had got an offer locally in NY and we came to an agreement to avoid him being firebombed by eBay and others for violating every rule they had. Good thing though since I found out the DOHC engine in the MY98 was even more of a ticking time-bomb than the MY99 I ended up with. The second one was an online ad for a Ford Sierra which had been rallied and then returned to street condition. It was LHD and in great condition as it had gone through a body shop to get the exterior perfect again. Interior was stripped (which I like) and still had the cage in it but it had something like 400 lb-ft of torque from the modified Cosworth plant. The price was very fair and I didn't even need to make an offer I just said I'd be out with a check (it was in VA). Unfortunately after I booked my flight he called to say he sold it to a car collector in PR who apparently thought the ad was an auction and "overbid" the price I bought the car for. I still wonder about that Sierra. It would have been sick. I was going to put Ford Escort badges on it and make it the ultimate sleeper. Well as long as you didn't notice the 9" wide tires and Brembos on all 4 corners, the cage, and the gutteral sound of the Cosworth with its turbo.
Last year, I almost bought a '89 Mazda RX 7 FC Turbo II but some dude went and bought it the next morning. I test drove the car and even offer the seller the price and told him that I will come the next morning to paid for the car and don't sell the car to anyone else. The next morning I had the money ready and I call him to confirm the sale. He told me that he had just sold the car that morning. I was so piss off that I told him that it was very bad business what he was doing. A week later I found my beloved '01 Impreza RS and never looked back again. I am glad that I bought the Subie instead. I think that I would had alot of headaches with the FC Turbo II.
No, it was a red one. My brother in law knows who the guy is that bought the FC TII. I hope it's still running.
Happened to me 3 times before I found my wingless wrb sedan . Be patient and your gem will show up.
