I know when i got my car(both the wrx and the S2k) that the lenses on the headlight were scuffed, yellowed, blotchy...etc and looked like crap, for the nice $ of 65 I will restore them back to crystal clear(90%). Near perfection. obviously some dings, scratches are just too much but seriously after ive done this a couple of times it makes a world of difference.... I am free almost anytime after 2pm every day, the process takes about 2hours...so send me a PM syaing "clean my headlights." And for those who want the "Koji" mod(blacked out headlight surrounds) I will charge an additional $60( ican also do a blue similar to the WRB to color match--or any other color you provide me:) . These prices include paint and materials except for custom colors!....thanks

PICS!! In the picture with the painters tape the headlight is almost done, it got even more clear with one last run through.....the green en-circled area is after some prep work and the red is original condition.....and yes the $65 is to clear BOTH, and $60 to KOJI mod both

Just so we are all clear(no pun intended) the lights will look GREAT! I can't promise a 10/10 on every set(due to cond. of headlight) but you will notice a night and day difference and it will be clean!

head lights ring? like the silver reflective part on bugeyes that every one paints black???if yes than thats what my "koji" mod is refering to, if no...explain!(the piece that fits between the lens and the housing but not what the bulb is directly encased in?

Show me some pics of the blacked out bugeyes. $65? I assume you put them in the oven and take them apart and clean them up? What is the exact process?

Why would someone who is offering a service based around the fact they know how to do it, and you dont, make that knowledge public?

    That's just out there....

Letting a potential customer know how the job is going to be done is good practice. The process in something like this shouldn't be a secret.

Members should be attracted to the service because of the value of the service offered for the price charged.

Se7enrex, not a bad price for clearing the lense and the mod. I've done a few for free and always asked myself why I haven't charged...due to the amount of time involved to complete the process. Good luck!

I just wanted to know what all is included so i know what im paying for. I have talked to guys who have paid 30-40 and i did a friends civic for 20. Just threw them in the oven on low for like 15-20 mins and they came right apart. I just had a hard time resealing them. Thats why i asked. Not saying that its to much, I just wanted to know how he sealed them.

yes, same basic bake, pull aprt, paint 3-4 coats, put back together, seal....when i put them back i re-bake in the oven and use the factory sealant..if it is not sufficient, i will fill with material so a proper seal is made.:)

this picture was the almost-complete build of my wrx thanks to mike, tom, brian and others:biggrin: -th eheadlights here have the color matched(close to) headlights

A tip for you for resealing. Get black silicone RTV in a tube for use in a caulk gun. Before re-assembling, apply a light bead of RTV to the female seam of the housing, then bake the headlamp housing again at 225* for 10 min. That pretty much ensures a good seal. And, it doesn't get too sloppy, like applying RTV AFTER assembly does.
