well i just got a 07 sti from ray at whitebear subbie and 2days later the guy that was sposed to take over my lease on my bmw ****ed me over.
    detals....

ok i took over my cousins lease from his bmw cause he never drove it from being in iraq, so i thought ok 200 bucks a month thats great.
so pretty much when i moved to mn i changed my mind and foud a guy to take over my lease. well yesterday he calls and pretty much changed his mind, he said that his wife dint aprove and ****ed me over big time so now i have 2 cars the sti and bmw..

    the car.....6speed
07 bmw 335i sport packege fully loaded with the smart start and everything u cant get for a 335i. price was i think 47k
the car was tuned by activeautowerks in fl wich have good rep with bmw
it has cat back exhuast, bov and chip( chip has switch in glove box).
the color is monaco blue i think like a pearl blue.
    grey leather inside

    the deal....
so mainly iam looking for someone to take over the lease or even buy the car.asking 1500 for lease take over.
miles on the car are lil under 1400 yes 1400
the pay off of the car now is 34-35cause my cous put 15k down(*******)
so asking 35k or to take the lease over.

if someone wants to take over the lease they would have to be aproved for it by bmw and that takes 2 weeks.

my aim is on my profile so hit me up if u or even ones daddy wants it..
    thanks

I moved the thread into the FS section, I think lease takeovers are approprate for this section.

Anyway, congrats on the STI and good luck with the BMW.

I don't understand how it can only be $200 a month...? That'd be way doable... Though insurance would be a different story.

because its a lease which means they end up getting the car back...

unless you buy it off the lease at the end, which is going to be spendy. I'd say its worth it if you always wanted a 3 series though.

    sounds interesting....
-whats the current mileage on it
    -how long is the contract
    -when did the lease begin
    -total allowed mileage
    -whats due upon contract termination

Dealership sales guys should bring up other relevant questions on this "2 good to be true deal"

Yeah, I understand how a lease works... But still, $200? Subaru was bragging about the biggest deal ever because they were leasing the 2.5i's for $159 per month. I priced out a lease on an '07 wrx tr and the lowest i could get it down to was in the $330 range. This car is twice as expensive... I'm not questioning this; I'm just saying it seems like a sweet deal.

Please post pictures. This is a really good deal either way. The reason the lease is so low is that with $15k down (not bright IMO for a lease) the cap cost was dramatically lower and Bimmers generally have high residual values.

It's a RWD so at least I would only use it in the summer. Beautiful, fast cars. My co-worker has a black on black 6-speed. Nice.

Kinda surprised he's modified a high-end leased vehicle. Could be risky at return time or should something go wrong mid-lease.

    Does anybody know this guy?

IF you go to BMW's USA site, you can build and price and estimate payments on any BMW sold in the US. I went to the lease page, and with 15k down, and 48month lease @ 10k miles per year, the monthly payment is 336. I know it says estimated...but how on earth does someone get a 200 dollar a month lease payment....hold on, let me do the math....

He would have had to put 20,000 down to get the payments like that. And honestly, if you are putting 20k down on a leased vehicle, you are stupid. I know, I don't know you or your friend, but I'm going to go ahead and generalize here and say that he is monumentally retarded. Putting 20k down on a 38k car is one thing, but putting it down on a lease is stupid. It's a complete waste of money, and you will likely take it in the pants when it comes time to buyout the car....which if you don't buy it out, you are even MORE stupid. The fact that he sold it off as a lease payment takeover after sinking 20k into it means he is absolutely unfit to live and function in a public place... that is catatonicly retarded. Almost to the point of lacking cognitive brain activity.

    So, Cliff's notes:

I'm not buying this for one second. Nobody that has 20k cash lying around is so monumentally stupid as to put it down on a vehicle lease and then give it away to someone as a lease takeover. This is utter nonsense. I don't know what you stand to gain from this, but I honestly don't believe for one second that there is a 200 dollar a month 07 BMW 335i lease running around that is just given away as a lease takeover.

And now after reading this, 46k? Dude, not possible. Sorry. You are asking for 1500 to take over the lease and payments of 200 a month. Sorry man, the math doesn't work out. You'd have to put down nearly 25k to get lease payments like that from BMW...not sure of the exact math as I don't know the rate, but seriously, I don't see this happening.

He never said what the lease term is. On the BMW site, a 45k car, 15k down, 36 months at 10k miles/yr the payment is $234/mo. Not that far off.

So it's only a 24 month lease... How many months are left? (is there a delivery date on that paperwork?)

Did you ship it to MN? 1400 miles doesn't even cover the mileage from Florida.

Well I'll line up third if this is all legit.

Honestly I would think you could just take it to a dealer and get more than 35k for it, but if you want to give someone here a deal, that's cool... seems like there has to more to the story though.

I assume it would have to go back to stock at lease turn-in, is the original exhaust available?

i guess in my eyes if you are the first person to talk with a person about an item they are selling and you are very serious you should have first shot at checking it out and purchasing if want. just kinda an unwritten rule...which i think subbiedubber16 feels the same way about so i'm not worried. again once i look at it i'll post up some pics for those of you that are serious as well.

    for everyones in info.
the curent milege ithink is 1400 or 2100, it might sound stupid but the only drive on the car was 200 miles in fl and the drive up to mn from west palm..
to take over the lease with bmw it will take up to 2 weeks to be aproved by them for the credit. then car car is urs, durbing that 2weeks the car will still be in my name so if the person gets in a crash i get hit it the bill.
but somthing can be worked out as of mabe using the car for some time in the 2 weeks.

Look forward to seeing the car at the duluth trip.
