last piece of the puzzle for ZRT #858. looking for the IAT that's separate from the MAP. I can't figure out what the year cutoff for this is....theoretically our donor was an '02 RS, but the '02 diagrams show it integrated with the MAP.

anyway, need one, bad. I'm in the cities, and will be today and tomorrow. might not have internet access, so please call me. 612-270-8065

Any idea what the voltage range is? I have a few from old GM products that may be able to work if I knew the min-max voltages.

The intake manifold wasn't from my RS it was from a forrester I think. Motor I got from 3rik with a rod knock.

It is most likely 5 volts, but there may be a transfer function involved meaning the output is not linear.

it's a resistance-to-ground sensor. according to the pinout, the signal wire to the ECU should read 2.3-2.5 volts with the engine off (cold, I'm assuming), and 1.4-1.6 while on (warm?).

    sooo.....I dunno what that means.

I have a sensor that came with my used Link ECU. it looks just like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-2320/

RockAuto lists AirTex #5S1016, which looks like:

I also found this pic of a CAI installed on an '04 Forester X. you can see the IAC in the intake plenum:

I'm not saying that a different sensor couldn't possibly work. I would want verification that it will read the same compared to other sensors. To do that you would need a good factory unit to compare against, at which point your issue would be solved already.

that was kind of my thought. was hoping someone knew the numbers so we could compare without having one.

But, just got a text from Izzy, sounds like the GM one he got from a junkyard made the code go away (and the pic he sent me looked just like the one on rockauto above...). So I think we're probably good. only CEL now is rear 02.....which is non-existent, so....whatever

Time to head to Axe-man and get a resistor!

I have one of those resistors in my glovebox I think.
