Ice race Feb 16-18th

The 2nd ice race will be February 16th-18th but if someone wants to come Thursday that is fine also.. Whoever send a deposit 1st gets 1st choice of cabin and a bed.my paypal is [email protected] . the deposit will be $35 this time just to make things easier, and the price is $35 per night per person.

Tonight: Occasional flurries after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around -9. West wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: Snow likely. Cloudy and cold, with a high near 3. West wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around -19. Wind chill values between -29 and -39. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy and cold, with a high near -13. Wind chill values between -32 and -39. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

wow, if this weather keeps up, you could probably have a third ice race... in May... Just out of curiosity, have you checked the ice lately? I'm guessing you probably have over 2 feet up there by now.

Hmm.. I don't know what to say. Maybe you can offer free hot chocolate to customers anytime the temp is below zero... I'll stop up next friday again and get more snacks I think we're out.


I just checked the 10-day forecast for Orr, right now it says in the 20's again by the 11th, so it looks like it'll be a lot warmer for the ice race.

how far from duluth is this? I am very interested

 

Just take 53 from duluth to Orr, should take less than 2 hours. Google maps says about 110 miles.

Very easy drive from duluth, there is no reason not to go.
