Idea for a sticky-able thread. Looking for thoughts

Okay, so we all do random crap to our cars every day, whether its drive a bunch of miles, find a new gas station and fill 'er up, have a bird crap on it, or gasp, modify something, fix something, or just enjoy looking at it on jackstands cough::ray::cough.

I figured starting a thread, something titled "What did you do to your subaru today" would be kind of fun.

A good way to see people actively seeking out enjoyment from their cars, and feeling a need to share it with everyone else. I remember a sticky like this in the Jeep club I was in a long time ago. Everyone loved it.

A pretty good way to keep up to date on all of the crazy builds too.

Anyone else like this idea? Its hard to keep it rolling unless its stickied early on, thats why I bring it up.

Now I DID buy that stuff, and AM going to go do the install right now, but I hope that gives everyone an idea of how it works. Its kind of fun to throw back and forth little things like that, VS feel the need to start a new thread every time, and HAVE to include pictures or something. Even the littlest things count in this thread. Anything you do/did/someone else did/bought/will buy can go in here, etc.

 

also, ideas for a good location? General Subaru? O/T doesnt really work. And mods/tech works for some of it, but not for all the little random things.

 

I support this idea. It will cut down on the number of "Check out my new wheels" or "I painted my hoodscoop the same color it was" threads.

jack, if you could...come up with the thread and spell out the guidelines the best you can. then pm me the thread...I'll sticky it.

yep, and I stickied it for you ... great idea for a thread, people can even put their "I just put new rims on check out my pics!!" and "i just got new tail lights!" and "i got tuned" stuff in there too.

 

Thanks for the props! I stole and modified the idea from that jeep club, but it works very well for them, even though they hardly have any active users like we do.

Hopefully the subaru club can handle having a thread like this, because its probably going to over-run itself.

Maybe we can do a cleanup once it hits like 50 pages, chopping off the first 25? not sure but im guessing the mods can do that. We'll figure it out if it gets that far I suppose.
