yes, that's snow.....and it started snowing more while I was putting things back together!

but got my $107 Beck/Arnley NEW (not reman'd!) Clutch kit that I got on closeout from RockAuto installed, and the 'new' (used 22t one that I hit with the wire brush, primed, then painted) oil pan on there to replace the one that had about 4 holes in it due to rust....

    Welll

I had my garage door open all day and yeah it was snowing here some too. I got the XT back on the road after getting gaskets from BP Subaru. Talked to a old Dodge mechanic and he told me to stop at Dodge and get a tube of thier black silicon and use that. Do a light coat on both sides of the gaskets, intake and heads and put it together quick. Not to let it setup first. Well I did and it worked this time. Wish I would have known if was going to work before I went and bought this used Mazda 626 to get thru the winter.

Oh well, glad you got your stuff together and I'm to old to be working out side. lol

don't worry about it....either of you. the job went really smoothly, actually. only hitch was it didn't want to start when I got done. turns out in the commotion I knocked some crap loose in the starter solenoid, and was no longer getting a good connection.

well, could'a used a hand getting the hoist down to the shed....but I had gravity working for me.....I'll need a couple guys to get it back up though! (or a strap to my trailer hitch  )

and I've gotten used to laying the gravel, I don't even notice anymore. and I didn't have to move the hoist with the engine on it, so no problem their either.
