Where would you look rather then going to the dealership? I need window trim as I F'd mine all up trying to do some West Coast Customs shiz. I've only dealt with the dealership so input is appreciated!
https://www.subarupartsdepot.com/oem-subaru-parts.html I found this a little while back hope it helps
You're obviously not all about reading comprehension. We get a 20% off parts, and 10% off labor discount at Morries Minnetonka Subaru.
The point readymix was making is: Its about as cheap to buy from Morries with the MNSUBARU discount as it is from other OEM suppliers. In my experience, the discount makes it as cheap or negligably more expensive than buying from an online supplier. In general, the turn around time to get a part from Morries is much faster.
feel free to shop around, to me interior parts are not time critical like engine parts, etc. subarugenuineparts.com is a good site too.
They're run by a dealership, Chaplin Subaru of WA, so their prices are nearly identical to morries mtka (possibly higher after shipping). I've ordered a few clearance items from them in the past but everything else I've priced out or inquired about was very close to what we get locally. That said, their customer service was great back when Jamie was the parts manager. Can't speak to them now that she's gone and it's been a couple years since ordering from them. But she was very good at finding hard to find parts without a part number. The added benefit of shopping through morries mtka parts department that often gets overlooked and under appreciated is that active and very knowledgeable MNSubaru members work there. They go way out of their way to look up part numbers, check availability, order out of stock and hard to source parts, etc... So it's not like most places where you do your own digging or the voice on the other end has no idea what you're talking about.
While I'm not the prettiest, I'm a wealth of experience, not only that, I'll beat the walser price. Furthernore, Ive been with morries since 2001.
What is your name? I'd like to give you a call in the near future regarding the window trim I plan on purchasing.
He may not be the prettiest, but he is soft and yielding to the touch. He also does anything. ANYTHING.
I stopped in at Morrie's Minnetonka to pick up some super blue coolant today and had a very good experience at the parts department. It's been quite awhile since I've been over there and was somewhat hesitant to go back after a couple mediocre experiences in the past with the sales department when looking for an extended warranty and a used car. I was helped by Brian who honored the MNSubaru parts discount without question. I will definitely be back in the future! Thanks to Morrie's for offering the parts and service discount!
It's all about who you know with regards to the car sales. Scott Putnam is the man to talk to if you are looking for a car over there driftin240, Bielke55 and AWDImprezaL are the guys in parts. Though most of hte guys in there should know about the discount. The listed names will be more knowledgable about tech details.
IMHO, it depends on what parts you are looking for: eg: Oxygen Sensors, Rockauto sells the same Denso sensors you get at the dealership for 2/3 the cost Morries Minnetonka offers a great discount for all sorts of items... I have also bough a lot of parts from these guys, and they usually beat dealer discount prices: http://subarusurgeons.com/ ...wait is a little longer sometimes, but they are good folks and can offer some good prices.
^ after getting a crap NAPA sensor for my sister's bugeye (she went NAPA instead of the dealership I suggested), I will never trust non-OEM sensors. It ended up running like crap (MAF Sensor). She returned it and picked up Josh's for cheap.
