Come out and watch the International Ice Racing Assocition Ice Races on South Lindstrom Lake this coming Saturday and Sunday. Come see Stick, Mayhem83, Flatline, IceRacer83 and myself behind the wheel of the red raisins (the very same cars that we rally cross in). Racing usually gets underway about 11 am with Sprint races all day Saturday and a Spring race and the Endurance race on Sunday. Directions: About ten miles east on US 8 from Forest Lake, Rosehill Resort is on the right (east) side of the road. Entrance to the lake is down through the Rosehill Resort. Track will be straight out from the shore a ways... Hope to see you all on the ice, it looks like great weather to be out enjoying some racing. Carrie
If I could figure out to have enchiladas on the ice, I would do it...I can just picture it now: All of us with enchilada sauce on our coveralls... Perhaps I can experiment with putting the enchilada filling into burritos, wrapping in foil and heating on a grill. Sorry boys, not this weekend, maybe next time.
my brother lives on that lake, to bad im headin up to lutsen for the weekend or else i would probably head down that way.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, to Brent, Carrie, Mark, Kevin and the rest of the Mayhem racing crew. That truly was one of the best times I've ever had. The Shadancer performed great minus the lack of fuel on the starting grid. I was truly amazed at the levels of grip and the ease of rotating a front wheel drive car. The studded tire provide more grip than rally tires in the dirt. Sorry about the off I had in practice, but I learned my lesson. set up for the turn and then foot to the floor almost all the time. Being it was my first time racing wheel to wheel it was very intimidating but I think I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Passing that Beetle through turn one after the drag race up the front straight was awesome. After that it was game on. I was on the hunt for more people to run down and pass. I'm still all hopped up hours later. See you guys tomorrow bright and early!:biggrin::biggrin: Pics and vids to come

It's nice to see you guys spend your weekend outdoors as well. Great job capturing the highlights of the event for those of us who wasn't able to make it! I'll have to watch those video's when I get home! "Dude we're out of gas!"
I was really disappointed in Dan. He didn't show ANY enthusiasm when he got out of the car after his first race. We only had to chase him around for 20 minutes and hold him down on the ice for another hour before he became more that just a blur of excitement. Now Dan knows what I meant about the kick of wheel to wheel ice racing. Who's next? BTW, Carrie (rallywife) won her first race last weekend in Garrison, congrats. Also, The Mayhem Racing Little Red Raisin, Subie Edition, took two firsts and two seconds in the sprint races this weekend. We also won the endurance race by 4 laps. Thanks to all that helped in the pits.
It looks like I'm going to miss the entire season this year. Maybe the March 1st event, but besides that every weekend is completely booked up.
Huge Congrat's to Carrie - Rallywife. I want to hear from from the BIG BOSS_MAN himself about this experience. And congrat's to the rest of the team for winning and showing up to support these events!
Thanks! I had a great time out there. I didn't fair so well this weekend, but I was running with the faster drivers, rather than the rookies. I did get a good pass in on the BMW. Plus 2 other laps on him because he stuffed it in the snow bank. I am looking forward to more of the same. I would like to echo Mark's thanks to all who helped in the pits.
Wow, aint that the truth. At first it will freak you out sliding sideways at 60mph inches from other cars on the ice.:eek3::eek4: Once you get used to it it's a riot. I was running on adrenaline all weekend. Once I got home and sat down, I crashed for the next 12 hours and was late for work Monday. I can't wait for the Mankato event, I'm already vibrating with excitement. You guys hooked me on Rallycross and Ice racing, what's next?
